    Off topic this but wondered if I could pick your brains. The Mrs and I decided to spend easter with my brother and his family in Saltash, had a good nght Thursday and decided we'd all go to the Eden Project on Friday morning. My Mrs was in the back seat and my nephew in the front passanger seat (with booster seat thank christ)coming down a slip road on to the A38 I saw a car in each lane of the dual carriage way so I stopped only to be rear ended by a 7.5T wagon. Car fecked ('07 Honda Accord estate), C roof pillars bent, floor bent, rear doors wont open etc, Nephew has whiplash, Mr

    This may be an odd question but one of the clubs I'm thinking of joining has what seems to me quite stringent restrictions on what can be fired at the range. Max caliber = 0.455 Max velocity = 2000 ft/sec max energy = 1496 ft/lb Is the max velocity / energy going to seriously limit caliber or can ammunition be bought to comply for any given caliber?     Ehm Wonder if anybody can help, I'm getting totaly confused by different calibers and was wondering if anybody has the time to explain? I think a caliber rating of .22 would equate to a projectile with a diameter of 5.6mm but what the hell is the difference between this little lot? .222 .223 .22-250 6.5 x 550 Completely baffled

    Hi, I've now joined a club and have started my probationary period, still thinking on the lines of a .308 once the long wait is over. So far I've been concentrating on either a Winchester model 70 or a Tikka T3, are both good rifles? Any opinions either way would be greatly appreciated. Mick.

    unfortunatly the exchange rate has put glass prices through the roof,good target scopes are starting around£1200.keep your eyes open for s/hand there was a ziess victory for sale on here the other month so they do come up failing that look into a burris fulfield or nikkon monarch maybe a shepard.[bANNED TEXT] on here will know the name of the shop in scotland that does alot of ex demo swaroski (mcleads?)he's your best bet for s/hand Assuming I could increase my budget (hope the mrs doesn't read this) could I ask what you would go for?     Hi all, Researching what I would need to take up long range full bore rifle shooting (don't think the Hawke from my air rifle will be up to the job of 500 yds +!) Haven't 100% decided on my first rifle but I'm thinking on the lines of a Winchester .308, could anybody recommend a suitable scope or scopes please? I'm not rolling in it but budget would be around 800, would rather by a decent scope that will do me for a long time than have to upgrade. Thanks very much, Mick.
