safe and legal to use you mean ? no it wouldnt. its wouldnt do anything if it didnt have any insides. and second and the MOST IMPORTANT THING you cant use a mod on your rifle if you havent got a slot to use one on that rifle no matter what insides it has. So it would still be classed as a moderator if it had no sound reduction capabilities because it was just a hollow tube?

Hi all, Sorry to drag this up again, bought my first rifle (Anschutz .22Lr) as stated elsewhere rifle was offered with a mod for which I don't have a slot on my ticket. The guy I bought the rifle from didn't have the mod on his either (think it's an air rifle mod, internal parts are a spigot, spring and six small cone shaped sections), obviously I've left the mod with him as I don't need the $hit. My "problem" is this: as my ticket is for target shooting only I've been told that I wouldn't get a variation as it will only work with sub-sonic ammo anyway (which I don't need), the rif

Hi all, Picked up my first rifle today, it's an Anschutz in .22LR. Quick question if you don't mind, was always told that when leaving a rifle in the safe you should store the bolt separately, but an Anschutz cocks on opening the bolt not closing it. If i remove the bolt for safe keeping (leaving it cocked) am I going to bugger up a spring or something? Cheers, Mick.

Hi all, Not sure if this is true or not but I've been told that if you are a FAC or SGC holder and are driving a car registered to you that the Police want to stop they won't do so untill they have an armed response unit at the scene?! Is this true or have I been told a load of sh1te? If it is a load of sh1te and you get pulled with a rifle / shotgun in the car are you supposed to tell plod that it's there? Hasn't happened to me but I'd rather know in advance! Cheers, Mick.

Thanks guys I may have one fitted & just put air rifles in for now. I was thinking of bolting it to my wall in the loft so should be even harder to get at. I'd like a rim fire & probably a shotgun. If you want a FAC and a SGC apply coterminously as it will save you about £40. I have heard that some FEOs don't like cabinets in the loft, theory being if it's difficult to access and you come home knackered you might not bother putting the gun back in the cabinet.
