  1. That jewel mate? Think I've asked you that before? ?
  2. Haven't run the dogs down. Some of them look good, solid dogs, but so were hundreds of other lurchers around at the same time. Just don't see what's so special about em. And why would I take him up on the challenge, when I have no interest in competing with someone?
  3. Been in there all day, had to throw the kangaroo out first though ?
  4. What for? And if I recall properly, was it only one fella that accepted the challenge with his collie/grey, and beat him? Sounds like the guy had egotistical problems to me, throwing out silly challenges like that. Not everyone is/was into numbers, and not everyone is/was gullible enough to believe all the bullshit, me certainly being one of them. There were plenty of lurcher to lurcher bred dogs around then, that no- one really knew the real, never mind exact, breeding of. To me minshaws were just another case of exactly that
  5. Be my guest, makes no difference to me ?
  6. Top pedigree, saxon = saluki/greyhound. And last paragraph, joe says that bull x and coursing lines can be traced back on both sides for five generations, without question. And where did I say nipper the coursing dog was in the pedigree? Plenty of dogs have been called nipper, including many many terriers. I was onto my second lurcher when that silly f***ing challenge was written in the shooting news. I think I'd rather believe joe ox's words than yours, you clown ?
  7. @ stiffmeister Take a look at those peds, and read joe's last paragraph. No saluki? Behave ?
  8. Not really mate lol. It's just quite amusing the way we all, some more than others, get worked up a tad too easily lol ? Must admit though, it gave me a little smirk when I read WHIPPET in the pedigree lol ?
  9. Or the celts? Or the vikings? Ooh I got one for you charts, the romans gave your lot st george ??
  10. Look up 'the trans - saharan slave trade' report mate ?
  11. Kin el, the other day 'chid' called me argumentative! ? ?
  12. Biggest part of that that I remembered, was RT furlough getting worked up a tad ?
  13. See, gt gt gt gt grandfather, a whippet. That's where the stamina comes from ?
  14. Nice work mate. That youngster is maturing into a nice shape ?

Here goes, tin hat firmly on ?. My answer = they were all as bad as each other, and ENGLISH, I need say no more ? By the way chartski, you can't go using words like 'rhetorical' on here. There are only a few neo nazis, that hang out mainly on the general talk section, that will understand such 'big' words ?. .............. ?? ............... ?

Kin el mate, this is the hunting life, not mastermind ?
  17. Willhay was the grandsire to my mate's coliie/grey x whippet greyx grey litter of pups. Made superb fox dogs, and good on deer
  18. Whippet/greyhound x beddy/whippet ? You've got some nice dogs mate ?
  19. Lol I always used to think, if my ex brother in law put his dog back to another 1st x whippet/greyhound I would definitely have taken a pup on. His old dog had plenty of good qualities, great nose, cracking coat, good feet, quick, agile and intelligent. But he did have that headstrong, stubborn streak lol. But I think if he'd have been a bit more consistent etc with his early training, he'd have been a far more useful dog ?
  20. Exactly, and more exactly a bedlington put to a 1st x whippet/greyhound ?
  21. What I mean is beddy as one parent, not percentages or fractions. Gnipper asked about beddy as one parent, and whippet/greyhound as other parent ?
