    I think you are correct, katch. I've read similar, a lot of melanistic leopards coming from the malay peninsula.

    But if two melanistic leopards were to breed in our countryside, the chances are their offspring will also be melanistic. It's all in the genetics which I don't, and don't claim to, fully understand lol.

    Don't remember the exact dates, but in 2010, our second eldest lad was in a residential care home, in hereford, for about 3 months, and about half way through his stay, we weren't allowed to visit for 2 weeks, nor the kids there allowed to roam about freely, due to attacks on local farmers livestock, including a horse, in the area. I think I mentioned this in the original big cat thread. I think it was the same time that D c, off here, had been shown a puma that had been shot, laid out in the back of a pick-up?
