The Forestry Commision have already sold off the wood that surrounds me about 10 years ago. Around 800 acres of wood that was once a cracking little shooting syndicate now just going to pot. No maintenance to the roads and thinning sections of wood just for the rest to blow over in the next strong wind.........very sad. Word there is to be a wind farm coming soon so looks like it could have been a compensation claim all along...

What would be benifical in a cross like.... I believe the speed of the retrieve is not a massive part in the process. I dont do the trialing scene but i know about it. My dog wouldn't last 2 seconds in a trial as he would be 'out' because he doesn't sit as stiff as a board when the gun fires. I like to think of my dogs as "picking up dogs" and not "trialing dogs"........how do these dogs get on with a massive wood behind them with no directions.....
