    Hi mate, me again.....Sounds like you are doing the basics correctly and i hope they all turn out to be wee crackers. We all want to get our dogs up to a standard where we can take them to shoots but pushing them wont help. Walking them in parks and stuff wont get them ready for shoot day, with lots of smells and mainly other dogs working around them will drive them wild. I thought like you that my 2 pups at that age were 100% on the recall to my whistle but as i said to you when i took them to that shoot a couple of weeks ago(aged nearly 1 year) the first bird that fell from the sky the wee b

    Glad you put this cause exactly what i call them. Cant understand why anybody would want to shoot them onsight though? They still fly just like the rest of them so its still money in the pot at the end of the day

    I have 2 lab' pups at 1 year old....i took them for a wee test run last week at a shoot and they might get another 1 late january. I have only done the basics with them...i let them hear a gun around 6 months but from distance. I had them out for about 10mins each around 2 weeks ago at pigeons. I am a firm believer in pups being pups, your dogs should be perfect age for next season mate

    I've met him and he's very funny.... He's a prat, but Sean is a decent chap, went to his wedding. Hey thats mad.. Do you live near to them or did you?? We did, used to bump into them both quite alot in acienda and chetham hill on the wreck, when we were young.. Sean once shit in his pants for a fiver!!! Sean did many things for fiver, sometimes for free I met sean and his brother Paul in Hacienda night club, remained good friends, then it went all down hill when they released Pills n' Thrills and Bellyaches album...I kinda moved away and did my own thing...
