  2. nice 1 beany im just back from my daughters in coloundra on the gold coast its fantastic fishing got some good snappers on live mullet
  3. theres plenty of pike to go at ,a lad i know caught 1 over 30lb never told anyone only me also theres lots of smaller fish too , the last owners used to net them spawning where the snake river runs in (nick told me ) allan needed to go he ruined the fishery , it was a waste of a great trout fishery ,the new owners are well liked good on them
  4. any decent lad wants a couple of first class working hobs contact me free to working home i expect them to be well treated as they have allways been ,hyde manchester area ,only reason they are going is my health cheers

  7. any skin problems with my dogs have usually been sorted with benzole benzonate you can buy it from the chemists its allways the first thing i use its a white milky lotion rub rub it in a few times a day

  9. i remember flint was bred at the holme valley beagles by frank stacy it may be a different flint .frank was a great pal of kens his terriers had a blue coloured coat good hard digging dogs but large .they was good workers & bonnie dogs ,we had limited success with them ,when they could get, job was done he bred a good line of terriers

  11. nowt wrong with whippets i had several that killed hares long time ago ,as long as the slip wasnt too long & in open country they could do the job no probs ,but they suffered in the cold & wet i personally think they needed a jacket on them ,ie bedlington x thats a better x for rabbiting i think

  13. they was proper dogs back then no need for slagin matches sorry pal itsjust that anytime something sensible is said about proper dogs on here everyone has a dig at them im paranoid now lol
  14. ken gould is a good pal of mine we had some good days & nights out but rags & smitty was THE dogs in them times both hard as nails in fact too hard me & toddy roberts had some great digs with great dogs in what i would call the heyday of terriers , too many great dogs to remember big rex off ken red rex son of big rex plus my own butch bred off rags & smitty met 14 foxes killed everyone never barked he wasnt even 15months old ,right............. let the slagging begin
  15. deffo black lug the smellier the better ,use a long shank hook for the worms tip with tiny slivers of squid or mackeral keep the baits small they will hook them selves cheers
  16. whitby is fishing well now boat or shore ,west pier is good at present its all weather dependant ,expect to ;pay about £45/50 per person on a boat plus bait good info as said on whitby sea anglers forum cheers pete
  17. if i remember correctly garry middleton bred some white lakeys a good few years ago
  18. i dont think its illegal to shoot pheasants with an air rifle ,its just frowned on by the purists
