Nothing will match that We all must have our memories, I know I have. Thinking back it was like some great adventure 1 or two ferrets half a dozen nets a dog or two and a head full of dreams

That's a nice dog mate. Ive had at least two dogs who were well capable of putting a few rabbits away whether it be working cover for the lurchers marking or putting stuff to ground and marking the hidey hole Great to watch and be a part of To bring other dogs along that are not tuned and bonded to your dogs can turn all that on its head Its happened to me and onetime I ended up with a dead dog. Now I watch my dogs and act accordingly.If it means hunting alone then so be it Sounds like you got your head screwed on mate

Going to the doctors is really up to the individual I went, ihad too. Years later I applied for a job with a council.They researched my back ground . Some person rang me up and needed to know what had happened and how I was feeling at that moment in time. Igave my explaination of events and low and behold I got the job a week or two later. Must admit thought I had blown it when I realised they check your medical history

Its not something that you can turn off. It comes out the blue then sticks to you like you would never believe Only those who have been there will really understand the severity of it

Mine wasn't clinical depression it was bought on by trying to do to much on my own. Eventually something had to pop and it did.That was over ten year ago now. One thing I can say is sharing the problem with like minded people is a part of the healing process Its good to get the monkey off your back and out in the open.You tend to think that your on your own and helpless. Obviously by reading these posts that isn't the case

Something I didn't mention earlier It becomes very hard to concentrate even on the simplest of tasks this can have the knock on effect of affecting ones self confidence. In turn you have a feeling that your not in control anymore Its a bit like trying to climb out of a pit. You get so far then slip a little eventually you get yourself free . Its like a loss of everything that makes you tick. The main thing is it doesn't have to be permanent.Time support and following the right guidelines will eventually get him through

When someone is depressed their motivation plummets Its very difficult to deal with someone whos thoughts and feelings are horrid. Those that are closest get the full wrath of this debilitating illness. The partner friend etc has got to look after themselves and be very strong. At the time you think theres no way through. This thought alone can do immense damage to some ones mental wellbeing.The problem is that every dark thought that enters the head of someone who is depressed is felt.When I say felt its like serious mental pain or trauma. loved ones are going to be on the end
