most people would like to work after 65 years of age
steveS.Yorks replied to hily's topic in General Talk
Just my opinion but these "elite" jobs are a big part of the problem,administration,dentists,solicitors...ect arent worth their money, its legal stealing, ill even include some doctors in that as well, they all take to big a slice of the cake. You would be sick if you didnt have a hospital, house or water coming out of your tap, without us "lesser" beings you wouldnt have f..ck all. -
I once bought a Staffy for the wife when i was working away a fair bit, never intended to work him really but he just took to it naturally, even retreived stuff wagging his tail like mad, unfortunatly he was stolen and i never found him, absolutely gutted. Just get him out mate, maybe show him some carcases to show him what hes after, mine had a fair old nose on him and would go through pretty much any cover exept really tight bramble, nice looking dog you got there as well
-
Thats right mate,if you want to take them cleanly its a head/neck shot,i kill most with the neck shot, the best target to practice on is a broom handle or thin sapling, once you get your "left & right" sorted its not that difficult, and pheasants are very vunerable to a neck hit. A couple of headshots, those lead balls dont take prisoners

Agreed> if i could do it again id stick to creatine l.arginine whey and maybe glucosimine. all legal all ok. OLD NOG, how did i forget in my original post to mention DOING STERIODS will ruin your sex life. IMPOTENCE....seriously now do we need to go any futher??? Do steriods lose your wood...SIMPLES! Agree totally, do boxing, done that myself for seven years...hard hard hard disciplined training, nowhere to hide, i honestly rekon it was reason i left boxing and took the easy root of pumping myself up on roids. Coward, no will power...boxing straight is for winners. Learns you [bANNED TEXT]

Its a red leg or french patridge mate,i like my Milbo's as well,i had the same one from being around 8 until i was mid thirties, lost it [gutted] and didnt know how to get another until my lad found them for sale on the internet a few years go,i tried other types in between but just cant get on with them. Heres one i made myself with the round elastic off ebay, the forks chestnut, not a bad catty but i gave it away in the end.

I dont know Mark[or anyone else on my "friends" list exept Dean] but he tells me hes been going out with a lad ive known for around 25 years,if he is telling porkies it would be pretty stupid of him? My old digging partner lives in the same area as Mark and managed to bolt/bush 10 foxes in one session last year, but these were in urban/semi urban areas,if the farm is on the very edge of town it is possible i suppose, theres so many foxes now they have become much less terratorial than usual. Bullshit never made any dog,and despite some thinking its the easy way to stardom, its ussually th

Are you married? That's where all my sodding cash goes. Yes mate, with 3 adult kids, ive got shares in allsorts i dont actually own myself
-
Yea mate, ive had an experiance i cant understand, Ive worked my bollocks off for 30 years and im still skint? Thing i dont understand is i see c..ts who never do a stroke sat in the boozer all day and stood at the boozer doors enjoying a toke on top of their pints, got me baffled completely, then some immigrants come over from a mud hut and next thing they've got an Audi parked in the driveway of their new house within months of arriving???? Where did i go wrong? ps i could do with borrowing that battery

Any pics mate, genuinly would like to see whats out there And maybe its just me? but with Patterdale being an actual place, where the dogs were originated, shouldn't there be only one type of Patterdale? I think the name Patterdale has just become the standard description for any smooth coated type terriers no matter what their breeding is? and if you breed a litter and produce 4 rough and 2 smooth, are the rough's lakelands and the smooths Patterdales? Most likely the true Patterdales and Rough lakelands have been interbred for donkeys years,if you saw a well proven worker you liked wo -

steveS.Yorks replied to gamekeeperjohn's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
I saw your vid on the other section mate, the cattys look very well made, not really a fan of flats or ott shooting myself, but that other vid of the duck headshot was a belter pretty reasonable price imo, good luck with them. -
If I could have it my own way I'd have Harry in the Big Seat lol. Both of the lads seem down to earth and a lot more like normal people if you ask me. Their old lady would be a very proud woman if she could see them now I reckon. Would be interesting if Harry got the job,not the most PC bloke is he,fair play to him

Nice work Daz

Thanks Tyla,i think we already know each other from the shed mate? I tried flats .50 latex i think it was, just not for me really and tended to twist to much for my liking, not good if you need a quick second shot, but a lot of people do swear by it. I tried the brown 6mm round stuff [on sale on ebay]recently and its pretty good, bit more power than 6mm square and very reasonable at £250 a meter. Different shot sizes seem to suit different elastic,a lot of flatband users seem to like the .44 and even smaller, and i think the square performs better with bigger shot for some reason,i u

ah but is the sewing machines out of singer ines as the rest are just wannabes Obviously that post was a bit tongue in cheek, but its not far from the truth regarding some "lines".Ive seen some good smooth coated dogs you could describe as Patterdales years ago,and my own dogs threw the odd smooth pup even though they were mainly rough or broken coated. Ive seen a few smooth coated dogs bred by J.Price work and they were ok,no immediate bull blood in them as far as i know, and i ran a pup on for a mate from N.Yorks some years ago that was probably a type of Patterdale,i dont know any -
"I'm not overly enamoured by the Royals myself if truth be known, but like them or hate them they are part and parcel of the whole UK culture, tradition & national identity and should be respected as such" As time goes on i find it more difficult to be proud of anything about my country mate,at grass roots level we are stopped by the establishment from celebrating our culture/heritage if its likely to offend some immigrants..ect,i know a few lads who've been asked to button their jackets because they were wearing England shirts during the world cup,and a lad that works for me was asked

As far as i know Panacure starves the worms in the dogs gut and doesn't work like a poison? Never had any problems using it on pups myself.

Patterdale? Easy mate, just buy and decent working terrier blood, start adding bull blood to them until the coats come out smooth and they dont have any working sense and BINGO. ps i know a bloke who sells very cheap sowing machines -
"I used to be really indicisive, but now im not so sure" Roge Sapcoat circa 2003. "wise men nor fools can work without tools" my dad, everytime i forgot something we needed.

Thanks Daz,just practice mate thats all, funny thing is i cant hit cans that well myself mate,do ok on game though, check out Danny on Youtube [danielmorgan1976] i think hes the no1 in UK and a very nice bloke with it.

You can get some decent flatbands by all accounts,a lot of American lads i know use some called "tex-express" and say they are good and last a fair time, theres a bloke called "flatband" who also sells some good flats, you can find them on www.theslingshotforum.com or "jacksshed" if youre thinking of taking catty hunting up seriously both sites are worth joining, loads of info on everything catapults, just try not to step in the bullshit talked by some of them

Here's some info you might find interesting about our royals mate. When the communists took the Tzar and his family prisoner they contacted our royals and offered them safe passage to the UK if they would take them in,they refused knowing their own cousins would most likely be executed, with family like that mate you dont need enemies, obviously they were afraid of the revolution spreading over here and losing their position. Nothing will ever change here, the royals are just part of the "have's" system to keep the rest of the "sheep" [us] underfoot, its a pretty stable society compared t

Those same Americans pump billions into our country every year as tourists when they come over here to have their photo taken in front of the palace or with a palace guard, way more than it costs us to keep them. The royals make plenty of money themselves BTW, they are the largest landowners in the UK.. I know the royals are the biggest landowners in the UK,landowners aren't exactly on my fav's list mate, ive spent years pinching game off them, maybe its my commie upbringing? And my post wasn't a dig at Americans pers'e,if they like them that much they can have them for me.

Try here mate,http://www.henrykrank.com/ You want a Lee double mould anywhere around .500 calibre is a good general size for catty hunting. Eveyone has different ideas about elastic,a lot of lads will say "buy flatbands" definatly the most power but tear easily and make more noise than a HW80 when shooting them,it also helps if your a weightlifter to draw them. I use the square 6 or 7mm square stuff, allways have done and it does the job for me,lasts ages and easy to shoot with when its broken in a bit, punch catapult elastic in ebay and you will find plenty of laccy.
