  1. I use rc sipe 32g 5's for every thing as has been said stick to 5's for pheasants they want a decent sized pellet to knock them down
  2. concrete mate most all else ends up stinking of piss as it either gets in the gaps between pavers or soaks into sand
  3. well done lad you obviously have the keepers trust I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be there otherwise it's nice to see a youngster so dedicated keep at it mate and don't let anyone's comments mither you
  4. I use these fencers on my pens http://www.rappa.co.uk/productdetails.cfm?prodID=SPE3000 really good my tester reads between 11 and 12kv which is some poke from a fence I can tell you just make sure if you run 2 strands to make the bottom one low enough to catch billy on his nose if it just catches his back he will push on through
  5. Have erected perches on and inbetween trees for birds to roost in, its worked well so far. Suggest you take a visit to a game farm, you wont see many roosting facilities there. On a personal note I cant stand people who make snap judgements and comments that have no bearing on the original post! Never said I was a keeper (I'm not) and am certainly NOT lazy arsed as I work 60hrs a week and look after our syndicate shoot in my "spare" time. Dont use trees as posts either so keep your negative comments to yourself First you suggested that you netted round the trees with wire/baler t
  6. only time I drink is after a days shooting just cant beat sitting in the long room in front of the fire smoking a Bolivar and getting wrecked on a bottle of 1970 fonseca
  7. If you net round all the trees where do the birds roost? On a personal note I can't stand any supposed keeper who ties anything around trees and the number of times I see lazy arsed keepers use trees as convenient posts for their pen wire disgusts me
  8. We just put a debris mesh roof on our pens stops all raptors !! Bit of cost but worth it Unrealistic on any decent pen. Licenses to control them at peak times is the only way. What do you consider a 'decent' pen? Im not being funny, I genuinely believe netting is very effective. Doesnt do shit for the birds outside the pen mind. A decent pen is a large pen with substantial trees in it for birds to roost which in turn makes it immpossible to put any kind of netting over. I understand if we are talking 100 birds here but on larger shoots pens can be massive in size. I think Danw

  12. I dont' think I am a nazi or a racist but f**k me I am sick to death of seeing on the news that yet again some foreign c**t has caused shite in my country, our elders should be damn ashamed that they have left us in this position a country f****d by a bunch of soft twats what happened to the spirt that helped us to rule the world and how did we end up being the shite on folks shoes. For all the white British folks who joined in the riots hang your heads in shame you aint no country man of mine.
  13. You can tax your vehicle in the ‘limited use’ tax class if it’s used solely for purposes relating to agriculture, horticulture or forestry and: it’s used on public roads only in passing between different areas of land occupied by the same person the distance it travels on public roads in passing between any two such areas does not exceed 1.5 kilometres http://www.direct.go...asses/DG_069649 Been through all this with my own landy
  14. firstly the use of red diesel is restricted to agriculture, fishery and forestry so a bit of off roading would represent a problem and second it is rare that the plod or vosa check anything other than a tank sample and if that is white then you are ok especially if you have receipts of purchase for the diesel scroll this link down to 8.2 it explains properly http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageExcise_ShowContent&id=HMCE_CL_000164&propertyType=document#P185_17536

  16. It's an old post Matt so I think he got sorted but there are many more posts to be found like that including one where they successfully took global to court over the supply of a rifle
  17. found this on another site seems global are know for their dealings Please read this if you are thinking of spending any of your hard earned at Global Rifle. My friend and I visited the Newark Shooting Show last weekend, and on the whole it was a very enjoyable day. However, whilst at the Global Rifle stand, we were told by Romy and her Son about the brilliant Trustfire TR 1200 Lumen LED gunlight that “easily lit a fox at 300 meters”, and the “truly amazing” HID remote control Golight, which would apparently shine for 1 mile, and was 10 times brighter than a li
  18. No cull has been passed it is just up for consultation http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14204236
  19. Makes me laugh no one is going to be culling badgers the government has made the proposal so that the anti cull folks can stop it in court then the politicians can say well folks we did try but there you go tis all smoke and mirrors as always with the twats as run this country.
  20. Before you go off training your dog on some ones sheep I should ask permission first it'll probably save a proper shout up from the owner of the sheep
