  1. Comes with a charger, car charger and carry case.
  2. Most lamps run on 12 volts. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/store/category/4-deben-lithium-ion-batteries/ If thats the posted price, its about a 5er cheaper than the cheapest on ebay and about £40 cheaper than buying direct from deben. What size depends on how long you plan to use it, I think most people go for the 14amp or the 22amp. I went for the 14, so I could charge stuff up off it, phone,I pad ect.
  3. No I haven`t I`ll give it a go now though. I didnt know there was a year round flowering variety either. I`ll have a closer look next time Im over that way and try the flowers.
  4. Seen that a few weeks back. We even got Gorse in flower down here.
  5. Any one got a cheap board cut catty, preferably banded. Nephews xmas prezzie...

  6. Now for the female connection - the easy bit. Clip off the old cigar connection. The wire with the white writing on, is your live. Wire it up to the live in the female kettle connection.
  7. Slide it on your flex and add a cable tie about 25mm after your stripped back wires. Re attache new flex and reassemble. That`s the hardest bit done.
  8. Next, open the handle up and remove the white wedges to remove the old wires. After testing the left terminal was the live, this is where you brown will go... Drill your end cap to fit the new flex snug.
  9. Add the fuse and male plug, make sure you wire the brown up to the live pin which should be marked inside the plug Tape it up leaving a veiwing window so you can see if the fuse blows.
  10. Right Maplins shopping list. 1 kettle connection male, 1 female. 20mm fuse holder + 20mm 10amp Glass fuses 2mtr black 2 core flex Trim the flex as shown.
  11. I`ll put one together then. I`ll stick in diy or somewhere similar.
  12. Yeah Ive read some lads have hard wired them. Like I said, mines is virtually brand new, I didnt want to go chopping too many bits and fuses off as I didnt want it to melt in my hand Is yours the a new variable, with 2 buttons instead of a twisty knob?
  13. Anyone done one recently? Ive just done the flex and the connections at the minute, they seemed to be everyones biggest issues, With them two done, is there anything else is should do whilst its in bits? Its brand new lamp so apart from the dodgy cigar connection cutting out there no other problems. And its starting to look complicated, with a small circuit board and what seems like a sealed unit for the brightness control buttons. Everything looks solid and cant be pulled loose so I`ll probably leave it at that. I read about bulbs blowing, now is that because everyone has cut the cigar
  14. What d`you know then?

  15. Can some one get Ian to Pm me please. I'm somehow blocked his end. I've tried and tested the ISP.

  17. Aint that the truth. Went for a walk the other night to check a place out on the southdowns and although it was dark it was only 8pm and I saw lamps in most of the fields below us. I think I`ll give it a swerve.
  18. I live in Hampshire. Pretty much all thats been said is true. The people are shite too, your lucky to get a thank you if you stop for oncoming traffic, be it on the road or in asda... Their sense of humour is pretty dull too. To be honest Jai, your lot in Wales sounds pretty idyllic, so the money better be good if your heading south.
  19. Happy days. The mong whos dogs attacked mine paid the £328 vet bill in full today. I wonder if I`ll still see it down the field off lead?

To be honest Dave(s),it was a pretty minor wound, Ive taken the stitches out and she bounding around as usual already. I Think I have the kit to have sorted her myself, if not Ken. I just wanted to teach the munter a lesson. Nothing like beans on toast for a month to remind you not to let your dog off lead...

  20. They were handy to locate the owner of a 2 dogs which attacked mine in the dark. Just remember, your not the only one who can see them.
  21. Not really, I grudgingly give them away to pals and young relatives That said, Im still shooting the natural I made possibly a year ago...
  22. I have to say it looks like a pied waggy to me. The right wing throws is a bit cos it looks like a crest.
