  1. Nope, we cleared it again this year, in september...
  2. Chicken drumsticks Ugly as, I wouldnt keep them. Looks like Adele with feathers.
  3. Pere or Sparrowhawk? Keep an eye on it, wild birds often use the same plucking posts. You might catch a glimpse of it.
  4. There all on youtube, under the fieldsportschannel.
  5. I like that bottom picture.. Is that one of Bills nets?
  6. I nearly lost an eye when I was about 7, not from a pellet but from a 4" piece of stock. My two youngest uncles were playing around with a rifle, and being a nosey interested kid, I had my head right in there watching what they were doing. Well when one of them cocked the rifle, as he was getting a pellet ready, the rifle went off and the force of the recoil shattered the stock, and sent a chunk of it into my eyelid. Lucky really.
  7. Amen Chalkwarren. I now make all my own nets, long and purse. Sirius, Im not out to start a campaign against anyone. These were just my findings, that said, I`m not gonna pick up the phone and start trying to prise a 10er out of someone, which is probably cost me extra in postage in the long run. As Chalkwarren said, its best to seek out the artisan.
  8. As above, Bought new two year ago, worn twice out in the field but never below ground. Bitch thinks its a lurcher.... Ive got the collar, Mains charger and key fob magnet, all as new. £. Buyer must have paypal. I also have a Arva A.D.vanced reciever, which Im told will work with the collar(Ive not tried it), again as new £100. I would consider swapping the collar and charger for a day out digging, which has really got to be in Hampshire or it wont be worth my trouble. Any interest and I`ll try and get some pic`s up. sold sold sold sold sold sold sold sold
  9. The lad asked, and I told him of my experiences, Im not making it up. You could over look a dodgy knot or two, but to advertise something and go and send something else totally different is not acceptible, they had my details, could they not have contacted me first? Like I say I felt I was stung twice, there wont be a third time.
  10. I dunno though, Ive just read the couple of reviews and their getting slated. One mentions not being strong enough for a camera bag and the other says it doesnt quite close properly.... I might look for a better quality one, cos it`d be a handy bit of kit.
  11. Yeah they look Ideal, and being 2" you`ll be able to knit straight onto it. Cheap enough too. Gonna go order one now.....
  12. Still sore from paintballing Saturday, I must have gotten old since the last time I played...

  13. Fncking nutter. Pissed up russian or pole, as sure as the sun goes down. He`d have been fncked if there were a few illegal migrants hanging off the bottom of the train....
  14. Hmm interesting, good idea T O. I was having a think about something like this, cos the last longnet I done, the lenth was creeping on one edge, due to my triangle bending out of shape and going un-noticed. Just waiting for some more twine to start another and Im gonna give this a go. Simple but effective, just like me lol.
  15. My pokes will last forever - cos their hanging in the shed, untouched after their 2nd outing. I couldnt fault the yellow 10z sheet they were made from, just their tying on.
  16. how much were they charging for end pins mate I cant remember Al, £10 I think.
  17. Yeah, after your 1st lenth, you can do away with the split ring and just use a loop of cord. Just thread it through each mesh in a row, then hook both ends of the loop on your anchor point, just keep going like that.
  18. I got some 5ft poke a while back that were crap, they were cut from sheet net and tied on the rings pretty poorly, I got some off Netrigger after that, much better. Ordered some end pins that were advertised as stainless round ones, and some 9mm square painted mild steel ones turned up. I wouldnt use them again.
  19. Theres some 10mm ones on ebay for around £30 for 10 posted or The Magnum trap Co do some nice heavy duty ones with end caps and grommets, at around £3.70 each. I think its free post on orders over £20.
  20. Probably best to split them as they will make a right mess of the chicken run, water and food. They do a good job of keeping the slugs and snail down though.
  21. How big is your permission? Are you doing the same bury`s over and over? The usual advice would be to stick at it, you`ll come across them sooner or later, but if your land is small with only a few burys, the odd rabbits you see might be living on someone elses land...
  22. Paintballing in the morning..
