  1. great wee vid and one of my dozen or so ........... and for ideation its not so much compare as admire and i know some like scottish hare hunters 'mia' , rays 'bryn' , the 'don' dog, borderscots merle dog and many more of similar quality have still to put in an appearance.....they're maybe just trying to be fashionably late and make an entrance lol Out of the dogs i've actually seen in the flesh work. . . . in her day i'd honestly pick J.B's Gem. . . . and i'm not saying that because he is a mate. I've never hunted with a dog as tuned in to what is going on as her, she's done what need
  2. Do we need to compare them? (Although maybe that's just a cop out because i'd have most of them haha)
  3. Some rabbiting dogs i've hunted with over the last couple of seasons (mine and others). . . . not the best pics but something to look at . . . . more to follow. . . lol
  4. How about we just ignore the dick head, rather than starting an argument and it ruining the thread?
  5. why not ? Cos he said so. . . . and he's 'the man'.
  6. Doesn't look particularly great in any way. . . . And it's not an 'autside dog'. . . . . . . Daddy. . . .
  7. I remember that day Remember when we met that group of lads squireling on the hill?
  8. The Spider Monkey. Fairplay, that dog is very well suited to the land and way you hunt. It was obvious how much time you had put into her, I bet she's flying now. Hope to see her again this season
  9. Right, i'm coming now.. . . . this I have to see. Why not go the whole hog and have a Lambrini off. . . .
  10. NL - Top left. . . . is that a special rabbit? lol.
  11. ..or someone who finds the traditional methods effective enough so they don't need to spend £100+ on a noisy piece of electronic equipment.. It is a pretty lame method though mate You'd end up a right mess
  12. Well done Dy and well done Paddy
  13. sounds like she has had a good grounding. bet you will get plenty of sport out of her this year. good luck. She has seen a bit already, pushed a few bits and bobs from cover from rabbits, through fox to fallow. And done a bit of ratting. This coming season, she will get plenty of chance to show me what shes got - shes out with me every day on the shoot, and i'm planning on using her more to shoot over, as welll as taking her ferreting over winter, and also plan to run her with a small pack, which will contain her sire, dam, and at least 3/4 of her litter mates Fingers crossed
  14. Thanks Andy Yes mate, he is a pure, K.C reg. And you are right, for a whippet, he certainly is a strong wee dog. In fact, he isnt very whippet like at all, in his running or hunting style. J.B was only saying it last night, that he runs a lot more like a lurcher, than a whippet. He certainly has a lot more stamina, durability etc, than just speed. I'm starting to think, he might be a handy animal to throw over a good lurcher bitch, to produce some little rabbiting dogs.
  15. Ninja whippet Gonna be a strong dog Dan
