  3. You forgot to tell folk about the leather tool's they will need to buy after they have purchased the collar making kit from you... .. like eyelet pliers and hole punching pliers etc.. or do you supply them with your kit..
  4. For the record i'm not having a dig at you.. i 100% agree with you.. .. my grammar is not the best at time's so i may seem to come across the wrong way to folk at time's..i'm no expert in any way shape or form though.. but if the youngster seem's genuine i will do my best to help..
  5. I would not get one older than 7wk's old let alone 9mth as you won't have a clue what has happened to him/her in those vital few week's of training... but if you are happy with him that's all that matter's..
  6. Some may take 1 or 2 season's with a lot more outing's than that.. maybe 5 0r 6 season's from some of the folk's stuff i read on here..
  7. Only one name for me.. StrongStuff!! Does exactly what it says on the tin I have one here 4-5 years old and still perfect I can't fault the quality of Strongstuff's gear as it is second to none..but it is a bit heavy and bulky IMO for work wise..brilliant for a walk on a country lane but not out lamping or grafting..i much prefer a nice thin well made leather collar.. ...Sorry Strongstuff..
  8. Out of all the pest species on the list the Grey Squirrel is the one i despise the most.. ..cracking shooting and cracking bag.. ..keep at them as it's a endless task trying to rid them of Red Squirrel populated land..
  9. That is what most youngster's would do Lurcherman as they think it makes them look hard and know what they are doing infront of there young friend's..which could not be further from the truth.. treat your pooch well and put the time into it's training and it will do you proud.. ..if this present dog i have here hurt's itself it goes in a mood and blame's me for it if i'm near by.. ...fook know's what would happen if i if i slapped her on the arse let alone boot her..
  10. If he has outgrown his first one make his new one bigger... i would think 40in x40in x 28in high should be ample..
  11. If i was offered the best lamping dog in the country for free i would turn it down no matter how desperate i was... you just can't beat bringing a pup on and watching it progressing and doing well..the sense of achievement is something else..you will loose all that when buying a older dog in but some folk have too because they can barely train there kid's let alone a good dog..
  12. He is still a young dog Harry..don't slip him on anything he has not seen as you will obviously be wasting your time and his..if you have sitter's out in the field walk onto them slowly and don't let the dog go till they have moved..he will get the hang of it sooner or later with experience...also they is nothing to gain by taking him out with another dog..if another dog has any bad point's he may well pick up on them..
  13. I don't want to sound like a twat here but you should of researched this basic information long before you got a puppy of any breed..
  14. Take him out with the lamp and put some bunnies infront of him..after you have tried that get back to us and let us know what happened..
  15. Chickens will eat any small freshly fledged chicks that may end up on the floor, quail are a better option and i have the little chinese ones in mine. Aswell as eating chick's you will also have a load of chicken shit to clean up..

    What about Twining's Gold..
  17. I see folk mentioning how long there battery last's on the odd post..it mean's nothing as it all depend's on the lamp's bulb Wattage..a battery will last a lot longer with a 50 watt bulb than it will with a 100 watt bulb .
  18. must be different quality of summat as these dont power normal lamps mate ive tried them You Dirty Dog.. ... i did eventually reboot them all and get one pack back together... it lasted around 2/3rd's of the time it should of but sadly will not charge as a full pack..seperatley they will so either the circuit board is fecked or several batteries are...if i mess about again i will buy 12 new batteries.. but i don't like ordering anything from China otherwise i would of had it done by now..
  19. If you look at this thread they is a few picture's and info of my Fawn type Bitch out of Don and Jess and she is doing all i would ask of a dog at the moment..she has not been out hunting as much as i would of liked through family type business but she has been out several times and nailed 154 bunnies upto now.. her best bag's have been 38/33 and 42 and she could of went on on some night's but this is only her second season and i don't want to over do it too much..(i will do before the end of the season though if all is well).. ..she was a screamer on fast stuff but she has calmed down now bu
  20. It's sad to hear of the dog's outcome and i would of done the same personally unless they was bone hanging out or it was visibly broken..if it was mine and i was unsure of a break it would of been left a lot longer than a day and i'm insured.. On the insurance and fraud matter's..they is a lot more folk these day's choosing lurcher's as pet's..
  21. Cheer's for that Aaron.. ... but i mean't a bigger picture of the dog not a bigger picture..
