  2. I dont but if i did i would fly over to africa and fly on meercat's and chipmunk's till the season kicked back in at home..
  3. Niether are any good on feather apart from moorhen's in flight but im sure folk will doubt this with a bird that mug's tightly seated game.. Never flown a red tail but i have good info on them..been out with one several times a male never seen him cacth much ..i have had and been out hunting with several harris's and they are good on bunnies but that is about it..unless like is say you are trying to mug tightly squating game bird's.. From my experiences i can not give you a answer on which is best..but i can say both will catch rabbit's.
  4. I forgot Virkon.S ..i spray my weathering and bow regular with that stuff aswell as the bird's feet as a preventative..
  5. Thought about it mate but it will scuff the fook out of alloy's..
  6. I thought it was the cast out of the goonies when i first looked..
  7. The only stuff i realy use at home is iodine and sudocrem on the leg's where he sometime's scuff's them around the anklet area when he has been bating about..other than that im not that clued up on the broken leg/wing side of thing's..i have micro pore tape and stuff that can be used for splint's on the leg's and also bit's of bandage if i ever need to strap a injured wing up while going to the vet's..the best thing i do have is a casting jacket which can be placed on a hooded injured bird which stop's any movment whatsoever.. http://www.mikesfalconry.com/product.asp?specific=1286
  8. You dont get paid.. ..i used to get paid.
  9. At the end of the day clifford you get what you pay for buy cheap and buy twice..i payed £600 for my first marshall 216 setup a good few year's ago for my female harris..i used to mooch about in thick woodland with pond's and dyke's around which where full of moorhen's..the harris loved catching them and would head of to the area where they where when i got near..a lot of the times on this permission i did not see the flight's or the kill so the telemetry came in pretty handy finding a moitionless silent mantling harris on it's kill....the way i looked at it was everytime i found the harris wi
  10. I dont carry one mate but i have bit's and bob's at home..all i carry when flying is a spare leash swivel and jesses a small creance some cable ties and a pair of snip's..and a dead bunnie incase i ever have trouble recalling the bird..luckely it's never been needed but it's peace of mind for me.. My bird is not bothered by the fire work's and happely just sit's in the weathering...but if you are worried it wont hurt to box him up till they have finnished..

I went in today about 4pm with half a gutted chick on the glove and he stepped up and ate the it.. ..fook me i only pulled him yesterday and stressed the life out of him fitting his tail furniture and leg gear but he has forgiven me already.. ..
  14. Ive been watching stuff like this on youtube and i think it would be a good idea to have a set of chain's or rope in the boot of your car if this winter is anything like last year...a lot of people got caught out with the bad snow and if they had some snow chain's it could of made life so much easier.

I can't wait to get down your's Jasp on that landfill site.. ..here is a picture i took this morning he is pretty steady with only the occasional bate he only bated once this morning when i opened the weathering up..i did want to get a picture of his back for you but i did not want to stress him out by going too close so here you go for now..
  16. The finnished product is well tidy.. ..but dont forget to rig a double door system up if you plan on free lofting the bird..

It's not only the screaming mate it's the mantling over food that would do my head in aswell as being attacked by them..im sure that's why imprint flyer's fly a bird to the lure that should be flown to the fist..i have heard several stories of falconer's being chased all over trying to stop an attack from a imprint gos..and that is the last thing you want with a big finnish Female..ok you get the odd PR bird trying to foot you now and again but not a full on attack to your head from a imprint.. Horse's for coarses i say but unless the imprint is for breeding purposes they want banning and f

Pulled Genghis out of the enclosure today and he hit the scales at 2lb 1 1/2oz which im happy with as he will be down to his hunting weight a bit quicker than last year..i stopped feeding him on all the good food last week and started giving him 4 chick's a day..i will leave him to settle for several day's on the bow in the weathering before i start to offer him some food on the glove which will be small ration's till he come's down to the 1lb 12 1/2oz then i will start doing the recall's with him on the creance and get some picture's up of his progress from then on..
