I did try everything mate..but i was alway's short for time and thing's seemed rushed in a day which did not benefit the bird..

Believe me i tried to fly a bird while working 5 day's a week and it just dont work..i first tried weekend's but it was really hard to get the bird fit..then i started taking day's off work to fly and i nearly got sacked in the end..you can take them out on the lamp but i dont find it any fun or correct as far as falconry goes..

No one interested... ..i learned pretty quick a good few year's ago after getting footed of a female harris in the weathering..i stupidly went in to remove a uneaten rabbit leg bare handed..she footed my left hand and when i went in with my right hand she footed that with the other foot...so basicly i was hand cuffed and foked.. .. After the infection went and the bird was on the fist again.the food was always slowly presnted from below the glove with leashes held tight..

How do you stop a keen hawk from footing you while you place food on the empty glove..i have the answer for my bird..but what is your's.???

What about a male gos matey maybe a german or german cross..mine is a full finnish and a big lump but he reeled a magie in easily on his first day of the creance and killed it..if i had concentrated on them he would of killed them for fun all day long..

she had 9 in her first season but lost 11 although some of the one she caught were three quarter grown so a little easier to hold. Good honest reply on the 3/4 grown.. ..most folk class a half grown leveret as a hare which boil's my piss..good luck with the season..

I have already put the name of good book up for you..then you said you could not find any for sale..so i simply googled it and found one on ebay straight away for around £28..if you had bothered to buy the book what i put up for you in the link you would not be asking this question..but regardless of sparrow hawk book's you need to forget about getting a spar for now mate.

They will still lay on chick crumb mate but not as often..give them a bit more time on layer's only and the odd bit of green.. ..if you do decide to eat them though they are nice.. .

Scott they was 100% deffinate hen bird's in that batch i give you 10 atleast ..the one's that i kept back of the same batch where laying egg's for fun before i necked them all..if you have not already ate them.. ..make sure they are getting layer's pellet's and 18hr's of light per day..the buld only need's to be about 10watt or one of them energy saver's..

Clifford Imo i think you need to piss of and come back on here when you have sufficient knowledge in the basic's....i am no expert by all mean's but you seem to come across as a nugget so to speak.. one minute you are asking question's then the next you are saying it's easy because your grandad was a falconer.. ...my grandad was a enigineer but he taught me fook all as he was past his best when i needed info.. GET and start reading book's otherwise you will just keep making yourself look a c.u.n.t.

It's a big one no doubt about that but it is no bigger than some of the one's i have killed over the year's.. imo it's just a average sized rat..never heard of one killing duck's though..
