    Well a tough days ferreting yesterday clearing out after a pest controller . Total of 9 healthy rabbits but the mixie were all above ground droping off now it's geting colder found a few dead and a couple died during the day , spent the whole day on hands and knees and crawling on our belly through bramble and gorse bushes down at a swanky marina no camera I'm afraid one day I will take someone to take pics . First bury produced three rabbits always nice to score on the first especially when you have company , onto a three holler which had a few flies coming in and out so didn't expect much bu

    Or maybe not , unfortunaitly not all ferrets make the grade, depends what your after in a working ferret hard as itis , I have two exceptional workers on my team so the bar has been set high this year but that's just me

    Maybe not a chav but we can only take your word for this., but ruining it for the majority who are trying to repare and carry the name of field sports and change jo publics view about are pasions and educate on the importance of vital countryside managment in a proper legal manner , if you put as much efort into permision as you have slaging the lads off who are doing the right thing you might get some where .

    Yes you would as when I go to put my nets down I find peg holes and the undergrowth cut back , if you don't have permision post up to tag along , you meet some nice folk as well

    I use old clothes shreded mixed with sawdust and shreded paper warm as toast in there

    If I spot a place when I get in I I look on google maps for the houses on that land gives an idea where to knock without driving round all day

    Hi all we have picked up quite a bit of new permision this season not been ferreted before so there's plenty bolting , we went to a permision earlly September we had hit the year before bolted one rabbit all day . As far as I can see ferreting is rabbit control so therefore if there's no rabbits then it's been controled , add on top of that mixy and taking out the breeding population prior to breeding season then I see it as job done unless you have permision on places with serious infestations like in south east England not saying where,then your not going to get more than a few rabbits the n

    Can't wait til it's cold then we will be geting masive numbers lol, were geting ok numbers had 12 last Saturday lost two dug to one and that was only a mopping up job for a pestie who'd already had a crack , I'm puting my neck on the line for Saturday and saying minimum 35 to 40

    You can also use it to see which ones are on the move and if one is at a stand stil how deep your ferrets are working etc etc etc lots of uses not just finding one lost ferret ; )

    Well we are taking 2 or 3 long nets about 170 purse nets one whipet and will have 9 jills collared up for the job oh and the camera
