  2. farmers and landowners allways see hundreds ?hundreds of what usually scratchings in the ground , dropings or a handfull of rabbits , and then can't understand why you've only caught seven ???

Hi all mr archers is absolutley fine with the stinkers in my hand on my lap when I put them by his nose no atention turns his head away, when there in the box he puts his head in has a sniff even a lick , yet as soon as they hit the floor he's still geting very excited and wants to get hold of them ,? He has only had one day out with them on the leed and I was sliping him on rabbits , I will have him on the leed till Xmas I think as he is about 20 months old now , any tips apart from little and often with the ferrets on the floor cheers j ,

Well guys some interesting coments I got a new one at the game fair, it was a good one this year I could of spent a fortune real good stalls here's what I got , new ferreting socks 3 pairs for a fiver , waxed waterproof legings ten pounds , new game bag 19 pounds , fleece lined shirt 13 pounds , new nife 35 pounds , moel skin flat cap ten pounds , will post pic of game bag later
  9. I'd put them in seperate one at a time with the hob with a day or two break inbetween each jill , always best as he may have his favourite jill and stick only to that one ; )

  16. Mate, if you can give me one good reason why you would want to ferret at night i'll give it a go. Richard becuse you can do places you cant do in the day at night on big parkland, had some good scores But for me ferreting has always been a "cold winters morning" activity and besides, i worry enough about losing the little buggers in the day, nevermind in pitch black. I bring the young kits in the house and show them DVDs such as the warrener and Simon whitehead , and I leave a smart phone in the hutch so they can watch the jcr crew on you tube , I find this brings them on a treat and last seasons youngster were putting the purse nets out themselves by 8 months old , I'm sure when the Normans domesticated the pole cat that's how come they invented the tube to train there wild caught captive bred poleys and teach them the art of ferreting ,????
