    I'll remember your wise words next time I'm ferreting. Instead of pulling their necks I'll chuck any rabbits I catch in a big sack and take them to the vet to be humanely destroyed.. Taking an animals life is part and parcel of what we do. To me it doesn't make a difference if it's quarry or sickly stock. My animals are all with me for life, and if for some reason they had to go, they'd go. It would upset me as much as it would upset any non hunting, pet animal owner who needed to put a pet to sleep.     Why not take the jill out and hand feed the kit it should of been fending for itself anyway , myne were on meat at 3 weeks put it in the nest every evening just smashed it up a bit first , now at 4 and a half weeks when I open the hutch and call they all come scabelling to me , but every litter you learn something maybe it's not keen on chicken wing might be to much effort for it , also it shouldn't matter about the milk to much if it's running about you could give it waters down lactol from the pet shop put it on it's own and hand feed and liquid , hope this helps

    Had a jill when I was a lad bit straight through the stuff , you get a hob in season put him on his own in a cadge with chicken wire see if he gets through it

    Two winters ago a fox did decide to press his nose to the mesh in the shed and old knobby the hob was there waiting to remove the tip of his snout , there was a trail of blood coming from the shed acrros the lawn then into a bush and over the wall ,
