although im no expert i think lurchers deffinitley know when you dont want them to chase something and when its ok too my lurcher will not even look at our hens but goes mad for pheasants although ive had a few stoats bolt when ferreting and the lurcher knew that it was trying to get away THATS not becouse i wanted to but becouse he felt he had to if you know what imean ?anyway good thread

hi mate if i was you id probabley get either 2 jills and a hob or 2 jill i like hobs as they seem to stick with rabbits and wont give up until youve broken through

we have had a couple of rooks in my permission when me and the keeper checked the traps earlier we had a fair few rooks

fair enough mate i agree with you there it just annoys me when you get people slagging each other off for ferreting in summer when rabbits CAN and DO breed in the winter i personally hate ferreting in summer the rabbits you kill get coverd in flies you get stung from nettles and the ground is ussually so hard you cant get pegs in.but then again i wouldnt slag anyone off for doing abit for pest control.and yeah iam pretty young

not bieng funny mate but rabbits breed most of the year round anyway

soak the carcase in salt water mate gets most of it off

i take mine fishing and pigeon shooting keeps emhapp aswell asthe odd night out to keep the farmers happy

the ones ive seen were quite good at rabbits hares and deer but dont seem to like the smiling end of a fox
