  1. A few years back I worked on the door in a certain establishment in Sheffield, where they did a secret gig, I was part of the on stage security, at the end he says to me, did ya enjoy that ah kid? You should have seen his face when I replied, no I think you are shite
  2. If you have not already, I suggest you contact him directly, as he will not be on here often, and it might be weeks before your query is answered.
  3. It never ceases to amaze me how people will fly with no telemetry, if you had at least a tag on the bird, it would be back safe with you now.
  4. Ok here is my advice, dont try to get any on here, YOU WONT GET ANY! Dress smart, no cammo, go and knock on as many doors as you can, dont be afraid to, the worst that can happen is they say no, it is hard work, but stick at it and you will get some.
  5. .177 in none fac mate, faster, flatter, and kills more cleanly in my experience of 30 odd years using air rifles.
  6. No telemetry then? Oh dear, it wont have gone far, get out at first light, watch the crows and maggies, thats your best bet, good luck.
  7. Exactly,as I have said before, these people have no interest in the site, just what they can get out of it, well they would do well to remember the old adage, YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN.
  8. Yes I guess the drought could have had an effect, I have another permission, which is heaving with them, and all summer/autumn my heart was in my mouth, dreading myxy not a single one with it, I am pleased to say, we will see what this year brings.
  9. Hmmmm, well lets hope that overall they get on better this year than last, lots of people me included, saying numbers were down considerably in some areas, I have one spot that usually holds a good number, around the end of April - beginning of May loads of drummers around, then around 3-4 weeks later very low numbers, myxy must have gone through them like wildfire.
  10. And dont come on here, make two posts, with no introduction, and try to freeload on others permissions, this is not farmers weekly pal, it is a hunting site, get it? No probably not
  11. It will be the latter, like so many before him, go on op prove us wrong.
  12. I am sure they will be all knocking on your door shortly mate, permission letters in hand, why not include some stalking, and a spot of salmon fishing too old boy?
  13. Belting little rifle for somebody, wish I still had mine, a very very underated calibre, and the best rifle package the hornet comes in.
  14. Interesting, what were the results of your refusing a mentoring condition?
  15. Gamo Maxima, .177 really nice condition, had about 600 pellets through it from new, it has had a lube tune, and has 2 stage trigger, shoots at a nice smooth 11.6 ftlbs, with air arms field, the rubber stock inserts are great, give a good grip and encourage a good hold technique, it comes with either a top quality red/green dot scope(pictured) or a AGS 3-9x40, or a Niko sterling 4x40px all with quality mounts, I have shot pigeons @ 40 yards with it and the squirrel in the photo was a tricky 30 yard head shot, so it is an accurate rifle, I will include a nearly full tin of air arms field pellets
  16. Hey Rake Mate, Me and Charlie caller will take care of all your Deer problems. Yes and any other problems you may have, women serviced to the highest standards(if they are fit)
  17. You need to speak to Laird Rake aboot mate, he owns most of the farmland on the Derbyshire borders, I am sure he will be more than happy to let you wander around wherever you wish, good luck
  18. No they are crap, .22 wmr is a better round, and semi auto too, hmr is a nasty nasty, piddly little thing
  19. As I said earlier, dsc1 is NOT required, the police are concerned (and rightly so) with your safety with a firearm, not with your capability to identify, or graloch, or skin a deer, just with safety to the public, go ahead, apply, include permission letters, etc, and see what they say, include in your application, a letter outlining your experience with firearms, not your experience with deer, this is not the issue, you are a competent person, remember that, and make sure they know it.
  20. Apart from shooting on fc land the only advantage dsc1 gives you is being able to sell a carcass to a game dealer, because you are a trained hunter WOW.
  21. Nice going mate, are you shooting off sticks or freehand?
  22. That may well be the case, as I am pretty sure you dont need dsc1 to stalk at Thetford forrest, or the scottish Island they lease, I could be wrong, anyway, if you are a member damn well use them, and get some advice, you have paid for it and that is what they are there for! I fully agree with a newcomer going out and learning the ropes from an experienced shot, no problem with that at all, but the op already has firearms experience with his .22 and his .17hmr, and lets be honest, if its a safe shot for a .22 its a safe shot for a .243 etc, but trying to force people to get dsc1 no that is wro
