  1. When i was a kid ,every body on the estate new the instant the nit nurse ,or council rat man pulled up,they didnt need signs on there bikes or vans,we spotted them instantly, it was a form of sixth sense ,sadly most of us lacked some of the other five. )
  2. does he glue them to his arrows?
  3. I killed a few rabbits last week where the farmer had been logging, there was no snow and plenty of varied food around, the tops of these trees had been pushed to one side for burning, almost overnight the rabbits were into it,and stripped the lot, ithink in a lot of cases it may not be food the rabbit is after but something else, vitamins, minerals, or something to do with there teeth perhaps?i think your right about the tannin as those i caught had orange fat around there kidneys allso.
  4. no as long as they are cobvered with a suitable tunnel (the definition of which is quite a controversy) they are perfectly legal heres one to try, dig yourself a rabbit hole , the perfect size for a trap , it wants to be about 12-18 inches long , then dig another smaller hole at an angle to it , set your trap , the rabbits will go into a hole that is fresh dug , especially if they can feel air but cannot see thru , its a version of the american elbow set for mink on river banks , flower beds are best as its not going to good to dig up the customers lawn ,you can also put urine from ano
  5. i trapped a little animal in my zip last week, but i never took a photo ,should i trap him again?

  7. The place where ive been today is alive with rabbits, but even if you got a tenner apiece for them ,you would not make it pay. explain why at a tenner per rabbit you could not make it pay! they would be to hard to catch, the great and the good have tried , but there still there.

  10. brilliant, almost roasted my leg with my tea , laughing . we lost ed cook to this cra* we thought we had lost you once, but you slid back, and now you are getting the word crap ,mixed up ,with what we grown ups call wit, just to help you tell the differrence BETWEEN WIT, AND CRAP in the future , IN YOUR CASE SIR, IT IS NOT WIT THAT STOPS YOUR EARS FROM CRASHING TOGETHER.
  11. JOHN B. HAS A FRESH CAUGHT MOLE THAT HE MIGHT SELL YOU.
  12. HESELTINE DID IT, 8OS I THINK OVER THE WESTLANDS AFFAIR.
  13. . PLEASE REFER TO YOUR FIRST QUOTE YOU STATE YOU SELL MORE PARTS FOR LANDYS THAN JAPS I SAY AS YOU CANNOT SUPPLY JAP PARTS YOU ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO MAKE A COMPARISON AS FOR (kerbside machanics most are full time machanics having to do work on the side to boost thier income so you and your fellow workers in a nice warm office shoud'nt throw stones at people having to get dirty for a living and how many jap 4x4 s can be fixed at the kerbside.) My jap 4x4 has never needed fixing, and neither has my wifes.
  14. them yanks and ruskys aint got a chance against Leicesters curry shops
  15. i pull alot of lads out lamping and all in japp shit and yes iv got a landy I have had four landrovers,i liked them at the time ,but after driving jap motors i see how bad they were, landrover had it all there own way till the 70s,then the japs come in and showed us how to make good motors at the right price, the best 4x4 for me was the old fourtrack [the fowl pen on wheels],other than there rot problems, they were a very good tool. They say lannys last four ever ,true ,but your forever spending, any car dealer will tell you ,you pay a lot of money for the badge on the front of a land rover.
  16. Have you got a photo Micky - I cannot think what type you mean? Unless it is an imported US made trap OTC No mate, theywere on here some time ago but i think they were taken off.Ithink they were made in the USA.soft hold or grip they were called ,some aussie used to put some good pictures up,then someone had a whine and hes not been back.
  17. you allready know mine compo , the man was a pratt.
  18. The foothold trap the Aussies have is smaller ,lighter, and easier to set than a gin,so therefore better.imo, what made the gin so good was the amount of rabbit available to catch. If the rabbit numbers today were on a parr with the early 50s and there was a market for there meat, fur and by products , i suspect we would be looking at another type of trap ,something on the imbra lines ,but stronger, lighter , more compact, and above all cheaper,so i will go with the imbra too,for me its the ideal trap for the soil starved areas i play in
  19. your right tomo, as long as its under cover, but it really doesn,t matter how much care you take there is always some prowling little bast#rd that will stick a hand in one when trying to steal them, then there will be the usual hullaballoo about nothing ,instead of common sense being used , where the little c#nt should have been given a good slap in the first place , but the trapper always gets the blame , Exactly Glenn & TOMMO........common sense at the end of the day mate........YOU CAN NEVER LEGISLATE FOR IDIOTS. Some time ago i set some fenn traps in a ditch alongside a 20foot cha
  20. we had 76 on saturday and i had 34 today of the fell edge, nothing showing any signs of being in young , theres fleck around the sets tho , so it won,t be long 45 years ago we used to ferret right through till April, we only stopped when we bolted young, back then rabbits were few and far between 4 was a good bag 8 was a red letter day, about 30 years ago we finished in March, back then bags of 50-100 were fairly common,[though the locater helped]nowdays it looks like ending in Febuary, but again the numbers of rabbits are up ,i see rabbits in fields where there were none when i was a kid.Wha
