    We are snowed in at the moment so iwill put a snap up from two weeks ago,its not that good but it might be of interest a few.I set a few wires along a rabbit fence a while back,now this is a big fence with not many breaches [i nearly wrote holes] and lots of rabbits,what ido is set a snare in the fence and one on the run,sometimes it works,mostly it doesent,though i think it will pick up a bit when the weather alters.

    I am a little bewildered why you would take the picture down ?? Yes, I can see the rabbit, but you're not doing anything illegal !!! as long you have your permission to be there, thats it ... sorry mate ,my mistake,i was going to put up a picture of TRAPPED rabbits,being new to this camera lark, i removed the cubbys for a better shot,however once i had done that the catch appeared illegal. ALI MATE ,SO WAS I .

    My lad keeps a pub, and he has [locally sourced wild rabbit cooked in red wine ,served on a bed of winter roots,and rice] two portions from a rabbit,11quid a portion. The only problem he has ,is dodging me once a week when i drop 30/40 dressed,snared ,or ferreted rabbits.

    i set a dozen yesterday dinner ,went back first thing to lift them,i had six rabbits all sat there happy ,and one who was a bit dead.ihave put two snaps up [before and after],i tried to show three snared rabbits in a row but the picture is a bit dark,can anyone lighten up a bit?also how do i post more than one snap ?as i put one on and the thingy says its full.

    I was checking some snares first thing ,it was pissing down but i still got twelve rabbits,the rabbits were crossing through some reeds ,to feed on a ridge and furrow grass field ,unfortunatly the first rabbit had been foul caught,and eaten by a fox,two other rabbits had also been worried but the other nine sat there as happy as larry.Ionly got one snap because the telly thing on the back of the camera was shit up.Those twelve take me up to sixty out this field for the week, and plenty more to come.     LOCAL,the fence was o,k, but the pikeys cut the top wire to make tow rope,they were dumping tree pruneings in a green lane and got stuck,the law caught them red handed,they were lucky in a way because the farmer here is old school,sorts things out on the spot,whatever the cost.

    watch the snare line mate. people on here thing you can only snare a rabbit if it is tangled around everything in the field. rabbits cant be snared with a tight line and if got over 200 posts to proof it. lol And some of those were from me ,

    Not actually true, Natural England's latest information quotes that the current population is 35% - 40% of pre 1952 levels and is increasing at the rate of 2% per year. I dont think that theres a fraction of the rabbits that were here before mixi,think of it,all the new roads,houses ,factorys that have been built,the thousands of miles of hedges grubbed out,where do these 40 million rabbits live,rabbits are comeing back ,but nowhere in the numbers that were here before the disease,ive been places that seemed to be alive with rabbits ,but believe me, its nothing to what it was, i think th

    What i was told 40years ago by a man who new a lot was,just sit there ,keep still ,be quiet,ignore the dog,when it comes to you fuss it give it pat,take the rabbit and put it away , ,be patient,this worked for me twice with beddy xs ,allthough they never really retrieved to hand ,they were happy to drop them on the ground about ten foot away,a little bit dead,which was good enough for me.
