  4. Whatever he is, temperatures are rising on the streets of Dubin. Gonna be a rough night for the Gardai tonight.
  5. The old Fenn trap. Hard beat for versatility, and price. Very cheap trap, compared to other steel traps.

I think the difference between drink and hard drugs, is that there is a good chance a lot of us will eventually get away from it. (Ive been there.) With some of these drugs, I think it's fcuking hopeless.

Coke is the new pint accompaniment. It used to be a cigarette,or cigar. Even some of the lads I grew up with have taken a fancy to the stuff.
  8. Beaver should be good. Its a herbivore. Possum, would be a challenge I'd say
  9. Lads, has the land changed much, or at all in area's that beaver have been introduced?
  10. I know that DB Springs was taken over by a new owner few years back. I believe he's into hunting/trapping, and was talk of improving the power of the Fenn's. Wonder is there both old and new stock on the go? Saying that, I never had any issues with any Fenns I've bought. Found them all very good quality, and worked well for what I used them for.
  11. Was there not meant to be a new stronger type Fenn meant to be made? HEAVY DUTY! I've never seen these advertised anywhere
  12. Cheers lad. You've given me some excellent ideas, thanks a million
  13. Once again, excellent information. Great job on the tongs. Yes, I'm gonna be patient with getting an anvil. Think I can source bit of railway track for cheap that will keep me going for now, but keeping a good eye out for a proper anvil at a good price.
  14. Their all in around ten or eleven pounds. Never bought from here, but price ain't bad https://www.afssupplies.co.uk/product/fenn-trap-mark-6/
  15. That is some great information there, thank you. Just got a couple a proper hammers, and pair of flat tongs second hand, at a good price. Forge, and anvil are next. Probably start off very small with not much cash, at my disposal. But I think once I have those couple things, at least I can make a start.
  16. OK, so this is another method of forging? I'll have to check this out, cheers
  17. I'm in Ireland lad. I'm very enthusiastic about doing this, but not walking that far
  18. Let's try this first @GruffaloGriff
  19. Cheers, for the info. Don't have an anvil, and have looked at some at a local flea market. Mad money even second hand/vintage ones. Was maybe thinking piece of railway track, but not sure if that would be good enough.
  20. Nice one mel b. How is it with gas consumption? Would a cylinder last long with one of these forges?
  21. Ain't it always the way. Thanks for the thought. Appreciate it
  22. Cheers Paulus, enjoyed that read. Very talented man.
  23. Lads looking for some advise on a blacksmith forge for a beginner. Always wanted to give it a go, and literally starting out with nothing, bar a couple of hammers. First off, I'm looking at a forge. Something not very expensive, and small enough, that I can move in and out of the shed. So, it's either small coal forge, propane forge, or homemade forge. Anyone here into blacksmithing, with any suggestions on what I would be best getting? Few examples below of what I've found so far. Are any of them any good, or just pure sh*te? I know you get what you pay for, but I just dont have
  24. Very nice. Did you make it yourself?
