  1. Were they pregnant John? The reason I'm asking is I shot one last night for bait and one today and both were pregnant! I thought with all the baby bunnies I'm seeing around that they would have finished mating and had their young by now. cheers Callum They breed constantly mate, they can be pregnant again while still finishing off nursing the last litter They will keep mating right up until the weather turns. Thanks for the info mate I feel slightly less guilty about shooting them now cheers Callum
  2. The old boys in my village say that 1 in a thousand (I think) can kill a sheep because of its toxins, but they never say dog for some reason. I have twice been knocked down with them were l come down with a fever and l sleep more. I remember the first time my girlfriend checked me when l got home but never saw the tick but after rechecking me after l came down with the fever she found one on my hip. The second time she was more clued up and found it first time although l had come down with the same symptoms as previously. The second time l went to the doctor and told her what had happened and

If its your C drive Windows updates can add space, also restore shadow copies etc Try this it might give you some free space: Start => My Computer => Click right mouse button over drive that is lacking in space icon => Properties => Disk Clean-up => More Options Tab => Cleanup Button under System Restore and Shadow Copies Text => Click Delete Button => Ok button => Delete Files and 3.81Gb free space on my laptop magically became 16Gb of free space! This is with Windows Vista cheers Callum

  10. I did a CAD CAM course back in 1988, when it first came about as part of my tool making career . Problem was so did Acid House and the rest is history and now I live in a field amongst a load of animals, what the feck happened there. Back to the question I think a lot can be learnt from DVD's but there is no substitute for experience and I think it all depends what you want to use it for. If you have the time and the commitment go for it. What are you looking to do with it? hi , i only want to do simple drawings for a-frames with dimensions , im using a notepad with scruffy drawi
  11. Thanks for the tip mate, I think l will try this. cheers Callum
  12. I never met anyone of the site as I think l was the only one from the Western Isles, the Isle of Lewis specifically on the forum when l started out on it l think but in the last month l have spotted another two lads from the island so who knows. I got an idea though, the hunting life range of clothes with your user name attached to them. When you go to other parts of the country you could wear them and you never know you could be stopped by a fellow the hunting life member and have a conversation with them. Or perhaps you could be punched by someone you have had an argument with on the forum!
  13. If you have the time or inclination read the posts under this video . I posted it on here a year ago because there was a huge argument between an anti who totally lost it and a gamekeeper. She was threatening the gamekeepers family and placing curses on them etc, real funny comments. Needless to say some of the boys on here joined the argument and silenced her. One of her best "Justify your behaviour because you have to. I don't justify my comments. These animals are not overrunning the world. The only creatures causing environmental damage are the overrun of humans. This act here is d
  14. I might actually try that. cheers Callum
  15. I was thinking of buying an air horn mate because l think it would be too risky encase someone in the know saw me pointing a gun at none quarry species and heard the crack of the gun cheers Callum

  18. Is it this one mate http://www.scotland....221/0109515.pdf? I was looking at it today because l was getting fed up of them but could only see the black backed gull on it. thanks Callum If you can show 'spread of disease' i.e. have any animals on the croft. See attached doc Bob My dads friend keeps sheep on our croft so now lm thinking l might have a good reason What do you guys reckon Thanks for the info Bob cheers Callum
  19. Very good idea that my friend! I was thinking that you could further this idea with led glow sticks which allow for replacing the batteries once the originals go flat. Something like these led glow sticks. I might try these out once the nights start to get darker. edited to add that there is a video at the bottom of the linked to page to view the item being used cheers Callum

  21. well callum, if you dont tell the world about it no one will know !!. I'm shooting about 75 yards parallel to a quiet B-road so l'd better not chance it. cheers Callum
  22. That's were l got my turn of thinking from lol. Thanks for clearing that up for us, I guess l'll have to keep on chasing them away on foot besides l need the exercise anyway. cheers Callum
  23. Yeah mate it will cost you £26 per variation but you can add as much as you want per variation. It does not cost £26 per gun you add in one single variation if you get me. cheers Callum
  24. Is it permissible to give a warning shot to none general licensed birds as l have pegged a dead rabbit about 100 yards down my croft to lure crows but common (herring) gulls keep on swooping down to the carcase to try to eat some of it. I must have walked down the croft 20 + times so far in the last 2 hours to scare them off. Its getting annoying now, hence my question? I have to emphasize l don't mean trying to hit them at all I just mean say firing a shot in their general direction into the ground etc. I think it might be frowned upon as in if any anti etc. saw me do this it might be hard to
