I'm not passing judgement on anyone but I am quite surprised how lopsided opinion is on this subject in general. I don't mean the OP's personal situation which I don't know anything about but I was expecting it to be more 50/50, it looks there's only a handful of people believe we should stick it out for the kids sake.

Why would you believe anything from a politician's mouth? It's just hot air, German exports make up almost 50% of their GDP, any tariffs on the UK would result in the same on them and the German economy would go into recession almost overnight. Eventually the EU will be exposed as a bunch of windbags and lose any legitimacy, you are already seeing the Eastern countries ignoring their diktats.

Yep check out the third link which shows the GPS of NGO ships on a maritime tracking service, you can see them hanging around in Libyan waters until the traffickers send their boats out to them. There is no way on earth this is legal so why are they being allowed to do this?
