Great pic mate.. looks a good size, of all the years i walked the countryside i have never saw one. Only saw one snake ( adder ) and lizard, both within 10 mins of each other at Derwent water many years ago.

Food passes through a ferret within approx 3/4 hours so anything they eat the night before would be long gone. They need food for energy if they are working a long shift, i used to give them a bit egg yolk and soya or goats milk in the morning just before going out and when in the field a bit warm heart, lungs or liver from a bunny just to keep them going They also appreciate a drink of water every so often so take one of them dog bottle drinkers from the pound shop

So you also get big bags of fish as well as bunnies

Ferrets are carnivores, they need meat or meat based products, dont feed fruit or veg as the cant digest it so get nothing whatsoever from it, and saves the risk of them getting a blockage. Also i would not ever give them grapes or raisins.. they are poisonous to ferrets and dogs..

no mate new to ferrets, used to owen them 45 years ago ,then we just used to have one jill one hob keept separate till paird up, i now have four hobs tow are keept together so need them done, just wanted some advice thats all. i know i know a lot but i dont know everything. Hobs together castrated

Any photies :laugh: The correct attire to wear for a days coursing, as modelled by a THL member. How did the nice constable manage to park it there ( bell end ) dont take the piss out of the lads sheepskin coat, bet he was warmer than most and his cap is trendy Never made the waterloo but had a few meets at Wolsingham.. good craic -
Hey mate.. to get her back in condition lots of fatty meat, mince it if you can as its a lot easier to eat when they are in that state. other good stuff i have used which is ferret friendly is Chicken complan ( from chemist ), egg yolk, double cream, unsalted butter, olive oil.. all these can be mixed in with any meat and they wolf it down and pack on the pounds

Ferrets do get earmites but that has nothing to do with how poorly your ferret is now. i could offer you good advice if you PM me.

FFS this has nothing to do with earmites or the like.. when was the last time you saw the ferret well and up on its feet ? ferrets go down hill fast and this sounds serious. You need to keep him hydrated with water from a syringe and vets as soon as possible.. like now.

He will still rag her and try to mate with her, hobs will even try to mate other hobs, i would not take the chance if you value your jill.. its cheaper to get the hob castrated than a jill spayed.

Well done on getting them out and keeping them interested.. my 11 yr old daughter is a tomboy ( just like her mam ) and into the ferrets
