  1. That was very helpful information. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I got home from work this morning and did the usual big walk with my terriers, this time I took them to the beach. After about 20 minutes I saw what appeared to be another Patterdale running towards me. When she got to us she stole the ball and ran off with it, closely followed by a lad of about 25 years old. I commented on what a lovely red Patterdale she was and he said "I knew it! I was told she was a lakeland by the woman I bought her off" He then went on to say, he'd only had her 3 weeks and he was trying to get her used to other dogs as she had been a christmas present for this womans

  4. Im offline for a day and all hell breaks loose!! Ditchy, what a reply!! Straight to the point or what!! Pipey, dont be offended by the slating you got, Ive been on the receiving end of comments like that too for posting stupid threads, you just have to take it on the chin and learn from it for the future just as I have. Im sure you must be fairly new to this game and believe me you will learn a lot from the more experienced people on here just as I have. by the way, thats a lovely looking terrier you've got there and I hope you get to do some proper stuff with it when its older.
  5. What a shame. Feel for you.XX
  6. She had hydro the last time, never did much good. The best physio for her is to use it, so i walk her slow on the lead so she uses it, just let her off once to blow off some energy. She was the same last time when they pinned it, and as soon as the pin came out, she used it straight away. Problem is she is now becoming lame on the other leg due to it taking all the pressure, she is a bit arthritic, if that goes it will have to be PTS, so im having to be very carefull at the mo untill the broke one heals. Fingers x'd for her please. MOLL. Jeepers MOLLY, I didnt realise your dogs leg was
  7. My first hutch was very similar to that. I just put mesh over the top of the wider bars and it was fine. also made a three inch lip all the way across the top and bottom floor so that the wood shavings stayed in the hutch every time I opened the door as opposed to all over the ground Looks like a great home for the ferts
  8. What lovely looking ferrets and great photographs too!! What are they like as workers?
  9. Ive got collars for mine with very small ID tags on, They ONLY wear them if they are in the garden and this is only due to a big shock I got a few weeks back when one of them escaped! Luckily I found her about 200 yards down the road! They appear to be getting used to wearing collars so hopefully, come the season it wont be a great shock to them when they get their locator collars on I dont think it would be a good idea to leave them on all the time though Im sure their neck fur would rub.
  10. Im totally gutted! I really wanted to go but as usual, Im at work Any one take any pics? I was tempted to throw a sicky but the way my luck is at the minute, i'd probably have got found out. Does anyone know when the next show is in the North East?
  11. i read it a while ago, when it wasn't quiet so old, the author is an Old Labour man Roy Hattersley, he is an out and out anti He is also the bloke who owned a Staff bull terrier that killed a goose in St James Park , the same dog was prone to having a go at other dogs as well, so the bloke obviously knows a lot about animals Hear, hear!! What a tosser!!
  12. Im sorry to hear your bad news Mother nature seems to work in a strange way at times.
  13. Rest in peace lads, and god bless you both.XX
  14. Hope its a good one CW! I'll toast a drink to you tonight!!
  15. Bit f*cking careless of ye to leave That in there, eh Juls? ( )
  16. Well, Ive had to cancell my mooch tomorrow The police need to come and take another statement from me tomorrow and they need to keep my car longer. The lad driving was drunk apparently and there was lots of stolen gear and robbing equipment in the boot! The nursing home office next door to where I was also got trashed and it looks like it was them too. Other issues have transpired since the arrest this morning (Police couldnt say what ) To be honest, I hope they throw the book at the twats!
  17. The hutch I had before the one Ive got now was very small and at the time I was pushed for space also. So I built a court next to the huch and built upwards. It did give them plenty of room to play and great living accomodation too. I do think that the bigger the space the better though and if possible, then a court would be best. If not possible, then plently of exercise as and when is possible.
  18. To be honest, I feel great!! i didnt earlier on but hey, Im getting my car back and two little shits will probably get hours community service Thats the only annoying part!
