Heres living proof of a small ferret getting the shit kicked out of him,this happened last season but hes still going strong this season and though hes small he works like a demon.I have got dozens of rabbits with him.He is very small but hes very rarely held a rabbit underground and killed it.I have dug to him and found a rabbit in a stop end quiet alive,He has been fed with the best he can get,hes never been poorly fed,most of my ferrets are very tidy in size and its not from starvation either.Its the way I like my ferrets,on the tidy size. Did he lose the eye?

Exactly the same scenario here Magwitch I also work small Jills and use the Hob as back-up. As for some claims that the small ferrets are derived from malnourished parentage I can assure you a smaller working strain does exist with litters fed on a BARF diet. Each to their own......

So far, the mark 3 is working OK for me. However, it is in it's first season and time will tell Takes a bit of getting used to, but mine seems accurate.

I'm looking to the 2007 Breeding season now and then flying a P/R youngster, I need to clear all the crap thats going on in preparation of the commitment and being held to ransom by a new Gos fresh out of the aviary. feck I thought when I reached 40 things would start to get easier but things have a habit of jumping up and smacking me in the face just when things seem Rosey. hi whin i agree with you and socks all the way but there are some people just cant get enough fresh everyday like us i take jackdow / maggys /ringnecks everyday i go down my mothers thats with out ferreting shooting rabbits /hares up in hereford my mate dops me about forty odd rabits every 3 months i just like a bit of dried food all the best W.D What a life! He even gets them delivered..........

Gutted seven about three weeks ago that were carrying. Had to finish mid February last year (when there was snow on the ground ) as it was getting impossible with all the youngster we were coming across.....
