Took my first trip out of the season this morning on a new area, from the roadside "there were rabbits everywhere" Walked into the field and the hedgerow was riddled with holes for a good 200yds Somehow, the rabbits feeding out were "rather friendly" Caught the first one by hand, riddled with mixy Some appeared OK , so will try to make the most out of a bad job in the next week...... Is this the pattern elsewhere?

Necking by holding the back legs in one hand (uppermost) and taking a firm grasp behind the head with the other, then pushing downwards and twisting backwards. Works in a second! Never used the "chop" method, as in my opinion isn't 100% succesful 1st time and bruises valuable meat. Just my opinion, each to their own.

My mate brings one out, its a beltin bit of kit but its bloody loud. It is, but you can reduce the sound by wrapping electrical tape around the receiver...

theres plenty of good dogs around here, and if someone is left without for whatever reason then theres a good chance of finding a decent replacement, i've parted with some very good dogs in the past, mainly to help someone out, plus i dont keep as many as i used to do these days either Cannot fault it! Wish I had friends like that...

Not being picky but if hes only 18 months wouldn't it be better to give him a couple more seasons of graft before making a decision if hes worth breeding from? Cannot argue with that advice, a valid point indeed.....

If that was aimed at me mate i dare say i get out a lot more than nearly everybody on this site with the dog's.. just about everynight with the lamp and day time inbetween so do you still think i need to get out more.. .. And all them night's out at this time of the year i am killing something with the dog's and from lastnight's outing the dog's got a measly 6 easy bunnies.. So for me it's everybody else that need's to get out more not this fellow.. Millet He's probably right!
