  7. Just bought my copy of the link. I'll certainly look forward to reading it
  8. Always use a longnet if you're not confident of covering ALL holes with purse nets and avoid putting a ferret to ground an hour before dusk. Just my opinion of unwritten rules that work for me
  9. Spot on Socks I've also tried the same with negative results. You'd need skin like a rhino and a high pain threshold to make a go of it Stick to good working ferrets would be my advice.
  10. Lot's of valid input so far, thanks very much Mole catcher I feel is nearest the mark and the comments are taken on board I did try taking pics yesterday, but was having problems with the camera. Will try again over the weekend......
  11. Guys, I've just accessed some permisssion which is taking a bit of a hammering from the bunnies. The problem is that the area of concern is unferretable! It is a couple of large fields (separated) which slope upwards into very dense undergrowth and then into woodland. I need to run a longnet(s) along the back fence (in front of the hedgerow) and was wondering how you would set it and walk it in, as the only entry to the field is literally at the opposite end from the problem. This is approx half a mile from the entry point? Any constructive views appreciated......
