  1. I'm afraid he's right, sorry mate but a driving licence is an absolute must have
  2. All credit to you Steph what a great post well done that man
  3. I've done one or two Killgerm courses and found them very good.....I'd say yes to your question but choose your courses carefully also SX Enviromental do a few courses that you might be interested in atb
  4. If anyone's interested I'm sure I could arrange an unsecured loan......you could buy two!!!
  5. Its because of people like this that I like fieldsports and the hunting life I'm with you there
  6. The Midland Game Fair is on Sept 19 and 20 it's worth wandering around there to give you an idea of costs etc and theres plenty of people willing to chat and plenty of stands to find those books you're going to need. And if I was you I'd grab happy larry's offer with both hands that's a very generous offer !!!
  7. Far too early for me.....too much under growth....particularly stinging nettles....wasps are still active and out of a hundred people ferreting I'll be the only one to put his foot on a nest
  8. I bring mine home from work every 2 weeks saves filing the skip up I take mine back to work (when it's used) save filling my wheelie bin up
  9. I use shredded paper....you've only got to put the word around that you're in the market for it and you'll get tons given to you free and non-gratis . It's clean, free, easily disposed of and a good insulator couldn't be better
  10. I use Tenopa same mix 50ml to 5lts....two visits are not unusual and for the real sticky sods I'll use Ficam W but it's a costly option when Tenopa will usually cover it
  11. Did mine several years ago at DATAS same arrangement.. do the course and a week later take the exam and they did a revision day on the Thursday before the exam....well worth the trouble
  12. I've always bought my longnet poles from either Liam Brinded or Pat at Bridport Nets and none of them cost six bloody quid each ...That's fcking expensive!!
  13. I'm with that.....too many a***holes willing to fck you about for the price of a ferret . I once gave a chap two ten week old kits and the twat was trying to use them for rabbiting the following weekend!!! He then had the fecking cheek to complain because he'd lost one and the other wouldn't work!!!! Never again, if someone wants kits they can look elsewhere unless ,of course, they enjoy being told to fck off. Name and shame this twat.....no hesitation
  14. Quite honestly BenBhoy I think a 'quick-set' longnet set up answers all your questions . You can buy them in anything from about 25yds or buy the basket alone and make your own nets which is what I prefer to do. Don't be fooled into thinking that "just" making a net from sheet netting is easy, a 50yd net is a 100yds long and that's an awful lot of net for the beginner to cope with. One other tip, get that new longnetting book two people I know have copies and think it's very good first chance I get I'll pinch one!!
  15. Are those products approved for use through a fogger? If not, you are commiting an offence under CoPR......... Funny you should ask that..after posting my last reply I thought I'd check and the answer is no...can't say about Cimitrol haven't used it for years....pity really ,never mind. back to SX Enviromentals site
  16. I've used a B & G for several years now...great tool. Recently I've seen a mini fogger on the market that'll do exactly the same job for less than £200 (SX Enviromental)which I like the look of and think would be ideal for in domestic and light duty commercial situations. As a general purpose insecticide I use Tenopa bit on the expensive side but it does what it says on the side of the can and I use it thru the fogger as well including cluster flies another I like but haven't used for a longtime is Cimitrol (might be taken of the mkt now) used that thru the fogger as well . Good Luck
  17. Always been the real deal when we've bought them......not cheap tho
  18. Of Course!!! A silver ferret.......zipping threw the trees.......sounds reasonable!!!
  19. Have you got an address or web site address for Advanced Netting ? I'd be very interested if they were cheaper than Liam
  20. Signed up......but I think too many are already in the public domain to do much good
  21. Yeah Liams your best bet...order it on online and pick it up from a show....save a fortune on postage
