  1. i have no intention of rushing him in to it, i have nothing but time. i just want to go watch someone with experience, ask questions about training and introduce my pup to working dogs so he can see what he has to do. like i said i dont want to put him in danger just because i was impatient. i just want someone to learn the ropes from.   2. hi guys, im looking for someone who works terriers in south or west wales who will be going out soon. i have a 5 month jrt that i want to bring on. he will be my first working dog, so im looking to go out with someone with a bit of experience so i can learn from them before i put my pup in any danger by being unprepared and irresponsible.   4. He is teething. He's just over 4 months old. What I've Been doing so far is giving him his rope toy that's been socked in water then put in the freezer over night. That's works well bit has a short life span. I have give him raw hide and they are ok but he loses interest very quick. As u may know a 4 month jrt has the atenttion span of a Nat lol.he's walked everyday and taken two massive walking over our feilds and woods on the weekend. He chews me and the misses, furniture, wires, mugs, my bedding,
  5. My jrt is cewing everything. A mate told me to get a small coke bottle, wrap it in barbed wire and sew a bunny skin over it. This seems a bit rough to me. Do other people do this or is it just this one harsh guy?

  7. i think Newton Rigg is my front runner, its just seems a really good place (not knocking other courses) i spoke to the main guy in charge and he seems really nice, and it just seems suited to what i want. has anyone been there?
  8. Thanks mate. I'm also looking for anything in south / west Wales that will give me experience in anything to do with wildlife managment or keeping. I'm starting a course in sept so wanna gain a a few skills before hand. Again not looking for cash just experience.

  13. bed news i just phoned them and they told me all funding to gamekeeping courses have been pulled. so everywhere is wales has stopped doing the course. so next plan. new course. any suggestions anyone? has to be within 45 min drive (ish) from a town or city as my misses will have to work. shes all up for moving anywhere in the country as this is what i have always wanted to do. shes really good like that. i want to specialise in vermin control and habitat management. so far ive applied for: -Bishop Burton College -Newton Rigg -myerscough college
