Just out setting out the walls ready for framing and sheathing this weekend, nothing complicated as it’s just a box. I wonder does anyone else still use 3,4,5 for double checking square ?……I suppose it’s all lasers now days ? Shows the last time I was ever involved with construction ! lol

Agreed…..I’m not suggesting people don’t vote reform, it’s just a conversation. I think it’s only right now that we do have a much harder look at everyone and understand exactly what they are…..and I think people are paying more attention and that’s a good thing. The lesson for all of us, imho, is that we should never again be “comfortable” with any of them…..and if we understand the scale of the problem we also understand if all these people are talking out of their arse. Blair took the country away and people hardly noticed….we should make sure we take notice of everyone now.

I agree that it’s important people are shown the two party system can be broken…..but I think it’s equally important that we don’t fall into a mindset of “job done” because it won’t be job done. We just need to understand that, and this is just my humble opinion, that a vote for Reform is just symbolic…..it carries no more weight than that in terms of the effect it will have on the state the nation is in. I was back in London last weekend and nothing less than mass deportation of the 3rd world, born there or not, has to be part of a million things that need doing to fix the place.

I think the point that is being made mate is, as far as our lives are concerned, what would it have mattered if Labour had won ? If they are not fundamentally different then it doesn’t matter at all.

The thing people don’t realise is that nobody lives in the Britain that existed pre Blair anymore….that country is dead, Blair killed it. We all live (lived) in something completely different, a new country……and it hasn’t worked, it’s a disaster ! vast swathes of even the indigenous people have a completely different mindset, lack of identity, no mental connection to the land beneath their feet, set of values or social connection to the Britain many of us think about at all……they couldn’t give two fucks at best and at worst, many of them think it’s all completely normal and see

I have to admit mate, I’ve almost completely changed my mind over the last year about Reform…..keep seeing the same people that got us here join week after week has done me. These ex Tory’s are traitors and scum just like their Labour counterparts…..f**k em. I didn’t read any of it as too serious mate, more said in jest than bravado….that was my take on it. I travelled the length and breadth of the country when I still lived there, had some fun, met some class lads and got to see some class animals in action….i think it’s just good to go and see nice lads who have decent stuff about them, it’s always going to be good. It’s just different mate, like it’s different hunting the big arable fields in the southern end of England or parts of Scotland to Fell hunting in the lakes. So, where I live you won’t be having any 100 rabbit nights like Tomo used to have in Yorkshire or you won’t go to places like I used to in North Essex and see 3 or 4 herds of 40 or 50 wild Fallow just grazing away, you won’t see 50 hares in the same field like a place we used to go on the Suffolk border. They got bought out by Cemex years ago didnt they, they used to run lakes all over the southeast first as Leisure Sports Angling, then RMC angling and finally Cemex…..sold them all off about 15 years back. They had some of the best waters in the country

Now, I can only offer an uneducated opinion of the limited things I’ve seen…..I’d say in Northern Ireland you’d still get a decent brute of a dog if you like a bit of foxing because they are still doing plenty of that up there. Cant speak for the rest of ireland except the west and I’d say anything reared out of the west would keel over at the sight of a field say at 6 mile Bottom….they would never have experienced the likes of that or seen hares as strong. Talking of Wheaton’s, was chatting to Stiff earlier and the name Chris Hickling came up…..seen him with one of his dogs at a hunt show years ago and I have to say, it was a very, very impressive looking animal. Obviously never seen them work but they certainly did look every inch the part.
