I’m a pretty simple bloke mate (as I’m sure many will vouch for ! lol) and I like simple little moments if that makes sense. I was born and brought up round there and I just like the place, I wouldn’t want to live there but it’s nice to visit…..took my wife there for our first ever day out 30 years ago, I was a bit lighter in them days ! lol

Well, anyway, today I’ve not been building in the west of ireland…..I’ve been soaking up the sun in Greenwhich by the river ! Pie, mash and liquor and a mug of strong tea for breakfast. Then a nice walk round the park, market and Maratime museum….stood in front of Admiral Lord Nelson’s clothes that he had on at the battle of trafalgar (I’ve done it many times in my life, but it never gets old) Back out and along the river to the Trafalgar Arms with my oldest boy, daughter and her boyfriend…..sat and had a pint of coke with lime and ice, they had Peroni and watched the rive

That base was put down for a sheep pen mate and it’s out of level. So, I took out the falls in blockwork to make it level plus, where I live it’s best to follow the old adage of house building: Give it a big hat and a big pair of boots. It will start pissing down every day come October and won’t stop again until May….all the houses here are built in contact with the ground and all of them have damp issues, badly ! I figured if I’m doing it myself, my way, I’m getting off the ground.

Out of shot is another smaller concrete base mate, I’m going to put another smaller version of the building on there as her bathroom, gas shower, composting loo maybe ? I have my own septic tank it can all be disposed of in…..I don’t know all the details yet as I haven’t sat and worked it all out.

Couple of reasons mate, first off they are freezing in the winter and with the damp climate on the west coast they deteriorate like f**k. Second, IF I did want one (I bought a really nice one for my mum when we fist moved over) they are a pure pain in the arse to get up my lane and into my gaff….. It was a nightmare getting my mums one in and a pure nightmare getting it out again when I sold it. Been there, done that, not practical boss.

When is the imaginary fight booked for ? Have you checked if the hotel has an imaginary gym so you can keep up with your imaginary workout programme ? What about an imaginary charging port for the imaginary car when you imaginary park at the imaginary airport ? Will the imaginary builders have finished the imaginary extension by the time you wake up from this latest dream state ? Cant wait to see the Google stock images of Florida and your imaginary days out…..have an imaginary great time mate.

I remember mate, I used to travel up there at least once a week and it was lifting with all sorts. Had an old pal and customer in Therford, he had this nutty old local worked for him who used to poach deer with a cross bow !! lol Was also into greyhounds and on race night he would be itching to get away to “Give the auld dug iz medicine” as he put it in his strong Norfolk accent……the medicine ?…..a gram of wiz ! lol Some characters up there (or down there in your case !)
