I think that’s a fair point, and let’s be honest, the “Boots on the ground” interventions over the last 30 years or so have been a f***ing disaster ! But, I think most people could sniff out all these bullshit wars the last 30 years…..but this feels different surely ? I also think that if it gos to “boots on the ground” then that’s a different story…..the last time America made a success of boots on the ground was D-Day !……they have made a shit show of every conflict since. Absolute nonsense aside, just think for a minute about how the United States was able to fly a big heap of B52 bombers, refuelling aircraft, fighter bombers 15 hours around the globe and into hostile airspace, that is already on high alert, completely undetected and then strike at the enemy’s most high value target (that they already know is what everyone is after) and the enemy (nor indeed anyone else) couldn’t do a thing about it…….didnt even know about it until they got lit up ? One of the great sayings I got told once mate is “you only remember the f**k ups that cost you money”…….and that’s so true and it also translates.
