I’d say thats completely fair and no less than any of them should get when you consider what they are potentially going out the house to face every morning. Right, what folks have to understand is how these things are measured and what is ignored. So, the standard is Perfect !! Anything less than perfect is recorded because it has to be. Everything in a football clubs medical procedures is not only player welfare but it’s also an ongoing risk assessment for the club of a multi million pound asset. If you think it’s like going to your GP, it isn’t ! If you think is like being under a microscope and even the tinniest little thing recorded with absolutely nothing disregarded, it is ! You are comparing individual sport to team sport where everything has to function as a unit, you can’t do that Im afraid. Its two totally different things. Individual players don’t win games any more, teams win games…..hence the demise of positions like Number 10

Liverpool have around 30 top class specialist back room staff, be that data analytics, medical, nutrition, coaching etc etc etc…..all top people in their field……that’s why they are in the champions league final tonight By comparison West Ham have around 4 !!…..and mostly they are whoever was kicking around……that’s why West Ham are off on their holidays ! That, folks, is the simple difference.

Ahh, it was some of those twitter/gossip type web sites mate where “juicy” little rumours get circulated about…..it’s a few years old now but keeps resurfacing as these things tend to do. Its out there on the web anyway and I’m sure Utd and Everton fans plunge right in feet first ! Lol

If you want to see how far football has moved on, go back and look at Diego Maradona warming up before a game and a modern team warming up before a game…..the modern teams makes Maradona look like he is about to turn out for a Sunday league side.

That don’t hold water either mate imho, especially in the likes of Liverpool high intensity 4:3:3 system, that has to function like a machine…..one or two players doped to the eyeballs would be if no real benefit. I know it happens in sport, we all do, but to say elite football teams have nearly all the players doping is frankly ludicrous. As I said, I know that rumour has been out there for a few years but that’s all it is, a rumour…..probably started by an Everton fan ! Lol ?

I know you didn’t make it up mate, it’s a rumour that has been out there for a few years now but it just don’t hold water I’m afraid pal. As I say, there’s no secret, it’s just everything got as good as the science will allow……see those little vest things players wear now ?……they are trackers and they track every individual players metrics which is then relayed directly back to a computer system so they can cater specifically for each player in an individual basis and in so doing for the team in a wider basis. I disagree mate, in football at least….what they will be on is medication to carry them through injuries but only if it’s safe, nobody is going to ruin a multi million pound asset long term by doping them through a couple of games. They just don’t need to, the treatment and recovery science is too good now days.

Sorry mate, I’m not buying that old rumour. I understand how it can sound authentic given the performances of elite players but it totally disregards the advancements in sports science, coaching methodology and nutrition that elite players are working with. So, just for an instance, take something as simple as the warm up……the FIFA 11+ warm up has been proven to reduce injury’s by about 50 or 60 % ……that’s just a bog standard warm up putting players in a better position that they ever were before. Weekly coaching will be a build up/ build down type programme peaking players just

As I say, I was only something that crossed my mind. Im sure I’m Bidens paradise every f****r and his dog will be lining up to bash the police….it’s like a national sport over there at the moment by the looks. I think someone mentioned training and there is not a standardised high quality programmed across the states ?……that I can agree is something that needs sorted.

Putting aside emotion for a minute, it’s easy to sit here and say “I’d go charging single handed into a situation where a bloke has an AR15 while I myself am armed with nothing but a Glock and a big hat !” Them officers have families and kids at home, they don’t want to get wasted. I think its Completely logical that they waited for people with the right kit to turn up. As I have said all along, the blame will chucked in all sorts of directions except where the root of the problem actually lays.
