    Not quiet as simple as that though is it mate, if you break into a 1 room hut and there’s 8 people, 4 of them have AK47s and 4 don’t then it’s fair to assume the 4 that didn’t knew the others had them and probably were in on it……guerrilla forces work with the help of the population, if they are in the same room then they are in on it !

    How do you sort out who is innocent and who isn’t in that situation ?     Do folks seriously believe that people who blow up Saturday shoppers and commuters train and buses, who fly planes into building are going to respond to being invited for afternoon tea and a sensible conversation ? The Taliban were going into villages and shooting toddlers for f**k sake…..what exactly is anyone going to say to them ? Id be highly disappointed if the SAS wasn’t going round the planet and ruining these people without mercy !

    The idea of nation has been hijacked (imho) as a means to accepting people who don’t belong here…..nations are only about a 1000 years old anyway. Britain is not a nation, being British isn’t open to all. Now if an Asian want to call himself English or Welsh or Scots then he can do that…..but he will never be British, he can’t be, it’s impossible. They are a resident of Britain born here or not and that all they will ever be. The British are a race of people, you can’t assume a race.

    I know mate and I’m always sensitive about how I undertake these conversations with you because you are an extremely nice bloke. Just know that when I do talk about this stuff it’s without any hatred or ill will….it’s just what I believe. I don’t want to offend anyone on purpose, I just speak honestly. The good thing is that you are never a baby about it like some, you seem to understand that other people think differently and those thoughts won’t effect your life in the slightest ?

    But that’s not what we are talking about is it mate although I take your point. The gist of the conversation (as I understand it) is can a sub Saharan African be British and the answer is no in the true sense of the word. I’m a white European, I can never be an African and vice versa……

    A lad I know has had a bit of a mid life epiphany, after spending his life working first in banking and then building community projects he has gone off to be a chef on the Scilly Isles and do open water swimming in his spare time…..never took a car, cycled down there. He went to France on his bike last year and stayed for a few months. Don’t know what his wife and kids made of it, I rather got the impression he had enough of my old area and decided he couldn’t take it anymore but his wife is born and bred and didn’t want to leave…..so he went on his own !

    The bit that made me prick up my ears was the suggestion of less government and when she actually told the truth about how we are just shifting the climate burden to other places while our companies and citizens pay the price. We have been trying “more government” all of my lifetime, when imho we should be trying less government That said, it’s a win/win for blokes like me…..it either creates the idea and the culture of less government which makes the space for other less government type party’s and politicians or the ethnic makes a complete balls of it…….either is good ?

    I think you have to make a distinction between big operation combat units deployed en masse on the ground and highly specialised SF operatives who are getting sent to iron out the most dangerous shit c**ts on the planet…..sometimes you just have to rinse people !! We ain’t sending blokes with millions of quids worth of training behind them who live their life on 15 minutes to move to be cricket umpires…..we are sending them to do the violence that lets us sleep safe at night !

    I am in the north for a week in a weeks time,Mrs is visiting home. Forget culture, I have always loved the fact that it’s about identity and I have great admiration for how fiercely they cling to it and protect it…….if only we had done the same in England.     They just won’t tolerate violence in schools now mate and personally, I think that’s a good thing. Being brought up in south London it was a ruck of some kind every day with kids of all different ages, you used to have to go to school tooled up ! It’s no way to be and frankly we can all do without it, there’s enough f***ing violence out in the streets for kids to deal with…..school should be a haven from all that shit and a place where positive is held up and negative is torn down.     My kids went to the senior school I was expelled from ! By that time I had grown some sense and was a school governor of the primary school that every senior school wanted the kids from because it was the best in the area. Some of my old teachers were still there and in senior positions and we were able to laugh about it and fair play, they never judged my kids on me and my kids absolutely thrived there.
