Very true mate, they did a big new port development where I used to live (biggest port in Europe apparently when it’s finished) they put up funnel fences and traps everywhere for a few years, used to see Hares and all sorts…….after the study & relocation you never saw a Hare again. They spent thousands trapping voles and mice and newts and all sorts of stuff and moving it !

These days, wild life study’s are normally the pre curser to a housing development……they don’t actually care about the wild life, it’s just a box tick to say they did it. I ran across two dudes one night on a bit of my permission years back, so I asked what they were up to and they said “Wild life study” as there was a proposed housing estate. ”We are looking for newts etc” So I said, never mind the newts what about the badger setts ? Theres one over there, one over there and a massive one that must be 50 years old just on the crest of that rise, runs right along that hedge

Well I was very happy to pick up a replacement DVD of American History X for a £1 in Belfast ! Mine got broke a few years back. A film that’s hard to find is Leon the professional, a great film and one of Gary Oldmans great performances imho as Stan.

Yeah, I know mate. I think fair enough, don’t watch because the standard isn’t the same as mens elite….we can say that. What we can’t do is complain that it’s not worth watching because it’s a diversity and woke fest…..if you ain't watching England based on that then you ain’t watching mens or womens period……in fact you ain’t watching top level football at all.

Jmho and what I have observed but the MASSIVE difference here is that people and certain political organisation will speak out, they will get out in the streets of their towns to protest things without needing some bigger organisation to set it up…..that just does not happen in England. When the guards shot that spade in Dublin a while ago they tried all their BLM nonsense and just got shut down right away. Where we stand is mate is that we are now the people where millions will pay a £100 every Saturday to stand and clap our own f**k you, we could have stayed away (and I know me and you went over the coals about this endlessly when it started happening) but we didn’t, we wanted our fix and were happy to let people spit in our face to get it. There’s lots being forced on us mate, 22 Nordic looking birds kicking a football is the least of my worries. Least we didn’t have to put up with the puke inducing “our brave 3 lions” like we did last year or whenever with that f***ing pigmy Saka and the other two when they couldn’t take a f***ing penalty ! We don’t have any of that in England mate so for a bloke like me it’s still nice, when you drive into little towns and there is a sign across the road with unions jacks, pictures of the queen proclaiming “welcome to loyal ……” , Enniskillen has flags everywhere just round the place, Newtownards and “Paddy’s” bar with a big mural of Paddy Mayne……. I obviously don’t know about any behind the scenes stuff but I feel better for seeing it all the same.

Northern Ireland still makes me feel pretty good, it’s wall to wall Union jacks. Had a drive up my wife’s old street where she grew up last week, every single lamp post is Union Jack, UVF, UDA and red hand flags…..there’s hundreds and there’s plenty of streets, towns and villages like that…..these people ain’t surrendering their culture or identity to anyone any time soon. Makes a British bloke feel pretty good truth be told.

I find this whole concept of abandoning your own folks quiet interesting coming from a time and a group of pals where you stayed no matter what the odds even if it may mean getting done right in…..so I understand it.
