Jmho mate, but a bit of clever marketing can change nations…..the UK is living proof of the fact. Fieldsports is one clued on head of a big hunting organisation away from having a renaissance……clever people could easily turn “killing for sport” into “healthy outdoors, nature preserving harvester of healthy organic food” ……if they wanted to and had the vision and drive. Keep surrendering things and calling it a victory is the modern way I know but ultimately, it’s still loosing !

I’d say that’s a brilliant post and very true. Telling people the truth is hard, when you say “if we don’t all start getting our act together we are dead, period !” Is a message many people don’t want to hear for one reason or another. See, most stuff is run by committee be that a local club or a national field sports organisation and committeemen are the poison in the well of decisive action…..there’s always someone playing to the beat of their own drum or not willing to sacrifice their own good thing for the greater good.

Packham should visit over here where keepered estates are not a thing and no shoots, small or otherwise, are keeping and releasing birds…..it’s a f***ing wildlife desert compared to the UK.

No, just cautioned in the end…..it was self defence anyway. It was quiet funny because when the FAO came round I’d actually forgotten about it and he said “Have you ever been in trouble with the police” and I said “No” So he says “why have we got this picture of you then ?” and proceeded to hold up a very youthful looking mug shot of yours truly ! I laughed and said “Blimey, I don’t look like that anymore do I ?!” …..he was pretty cool, he laughed as well as he could see I had genuinely forgotten which I had. I think you have to take your hat off to lads who are still punching away, they couldn’t imagine being anywhere else or doing anything else because that’s their nature and fair play to them. I can only speak for me but I just got burnt out. Anyway mate, I suppose time will tell.

Do you think it’s every man for himself mate ?…….I’d like to think that in times when things get really bad, that’s when you will see what remains of the true British people (those not infected with this 3rd world mindset) come together as we have historically always done. Thats what I’m hoping for, and it’s why things getting worse could actually be a good thing. Maybe it’s a twee dream, maybe I’m dreaming of something that don’t exist……but one things for sure, nothing is changing while there is still some type of comfort

I suspect these days the courts are so backed up that they try and move the small stuff through as quick as possible. They are chucking them out of nick as quick as they can put them in, the whole lot is probably bursting at the seams.

I disagree with that, me and my pals gave evidence in Magistrates court after a couple of coppers tried to do a number on a pal of ours……now we was young, very early 20s males who I don’t suppose looked like Boy Scouts but fair play…..we told them the story which was basically that the cozzers were liars who just wanted to give our pal aggro and they listened and were polite (as were we) and they threw it out.

I can totally agree with that and I’m not knocking the jury system at all, it’s just I wouldn’t want to do it mate. My old man always used to say “If there’s a hatchet faced old lady on the jury, you’re f****d !” Lol ?

I had arrests for affray and stuff but it never stopped me getting an FAC and a SGC, it was well in the past and the FAO said don’t worry about it…..I’d imagine if they give people like me an FAC then they let most people do jury service.
