  1. We have talked about this before mate, but I still maintain that a big (and completely overlooked) factor in the state of Utd was the signing of Pogba……imho, one of the major achievements in his career was poising the well of one of the biggest clubs in the world. Young players you had when he arrived (what was Rashford?….19 or something ?) would have looked at him at 90 million and learned all the wrong lessons. Its not just his fault, you have owners who obviously couldn’t give two fucks about the club but you definitely have a group of players who think they are more than they are
  2. Now, make sure you are sitting down……I agree ! Lol
  3. Climate minister flown 6500 miles to help get Prime Minister Patel’s complete waste of time Rwanda bill over the line…..don’t worry, it’s only your money and your life lads !! Meanwhile, make sure you pay £100+ a week at the pump while your community gos down the bog…..that will fix it !

I knew a short girl called that once !……….I’ll get my coat !
  6. Commercial cattle get killed for beef at 30 months or under, and they have to be a certain “grade” that fits the factory machinery I guess…..there are places in France that won’t even eat beef younger than 5 years old. These cattle are fattened on bags and bags of imported soya based meal, even the ones labelled as “grass fed”…..sure they are on grass, but they are still pumped full of meal as well. Keeping cattle until a good beef age would be a pain in the arse for me so my trade off is veal, it’s not beef but cooked right it’s decent. Now, mutton I can manage and that (imho)

Yeah could be, whatever, it stops my hips coming apart at the seams and keeps me upright like a body brace !

For me, it’s a lifetime of moving tons and tons of kit every week I reckon…..but driving machines is torture on your back, especially if it don’t have one of those tidy seats by Kab seating. I can drive a few machines (skills from a previous life) and even if I hire one in now my back is in tatters at the end of the day…..I think it’s just the posture coupled with your body movements( leaning forward, stooping, back arched etc ) that driving a machine makes you do. I think it’s one of those afflictions that when it’s got you, it’s got you for life and you just try and avoid / ma

Curse of my life and it’s getting worse as I get older, loads of anti inflammatory tablets (I use Vimovo) , heavy pain killers, a decent back support and rest/movement…..obviously the movement is only if you can walk which I have not been able to a couple of times. A tens machine used to help a bit as well, but I lost mine somewhere and didn’t get another but if you have access they are handy.
  10. Totally agree, folks have said to me plenty of times “how can you kill your animals after you got to know them” but I always tell them the same: They come here, they have a nice free range life, they get to know and trust me, they ain’t packed in like flys and when the time comes they go on the trailer stress free because it’s “just another place the bloke with the food is feeding us” and bobs you uncle. I have kept good cattle and I have kept the dairy bulls nobody wants, the dairy bulls are more satisfying both to your ego and your pocket….they are essentially a waste product !!….b
  11. I didn't want to over winter pigs and cattle mate so I’m waiting until the spring to get some more of those, those rams are keeping the grass cut and I’ll sell the smallest and keep the biggest in the springtime. I need my fields cut before I re-string the electric anyway and they are way too wet to get onto at the moment and that will be the case for a few months yet. I will add a few foster lambs at lambing time, some for keeping and some for eating. I’ve done the heart before head thing so I’m giving it a go the other way round now after 18 months off ! Lol Got my smok
  12. That’s cheap for killing mate, €50 each here. Im going to have a go at butchering my own next time. Cant be bothered with the rigmarole of home killing, for 50 notes it’s not worth the hassle. Grinding pork will kill most mincers available in shops, I know because I’ve tried, that’s a job for a proper commercial mincer.
  13. Those chinkys are horrible little c**ts, period ! On the subject of pork, once you have eaten free range, naturally reared pork you will never eat “shop” pork again….it’s completely different.

I was looking at those decathlon wellies mate, be interested to see those….cheers
  17. You can’t perform at the levels they have and not expect a dip at some point, these lads are expending elite athlete levels of energy 3 times a week and then juggling with recovery/training…..then as you say you add injury’s into the equation. You are watching great football, win or loose you should be enjoying that which I think you are mate.

Did you have any problems with the soles on your altbergs mate ? I’ve had a few pairs and they wore something shocking, probably don’t help that after years of football and doing loads of miles on my feet I’m so bow legged I couldn’t stop a pig in an alley ! Lol Also had another pair just “corrode” for want of a better word, these were a mixture of the desert boots and the standard army issue leather boots.

Didn’t buy off some lads driving a green Four Track with a couple of lamps and a bellman & Flint locator and 2 collars in the back did you ? Lol Amazing bit of kit mate, never hot walking, never cold in the back of a pickup doing countless miles in winter….brilliant.

I reckon you’d pick up a decent Barbour from eBay, but I’d always say avoid wax which I’m sure everyone knows. I had the Le Chamou wellies but your socks always slip down in them, neoprene don’t give you that problem imho mate. My neoprene didn’t do too bad, but my Mindl boots are the best thing I ever bought…..16 years old and still going strong. There’s some good kit to be had for reasonable money now and because our climate is so temperate and different on different days it’s really a question of having a few bits you can turn to imho January in Angus is not the same

Being a nerd of all things “kit”, the best jacket I ever had was a Barbour….can’t remember the name but it wasn’t wax, it was an Endurance 3-1 or something like that. Very breathable, not hot, would keep you at a nice temp even for miles in the back of a pickup in winter when we used to lamp that way….let absolutely no cold wind in at all, good waterproof abilities. That was about £400 ish from memory, it got nicked along with a load of other kit along with my four track…..but I could never find another. Musto was also extremely good, I was out in one of the most torrential down
