I only saw that one programme on the youth academy so I couldn't speake for the whole system mate, these kids were Ajax playing against PSV and the coach took no prisoners....it was brutal. I played centre forward my whole time playing and I tell you, I would 100 percent NOT want them to stop a defending player tackling.......it would have killed at least percent of my game. I wouldn't have to think about my running off the ball, creating a couple of yards of space, taking half chances......I could not imagine a game without it and I can't imagine I would get any enjoyment from it. Sure

Im a West Ham fan mate....." The Academy of Football ".....we have always been associated with flair players and teams that play good football......ok we,re coming up short in recent years but we never changed our philosophy of the game ( well until wham bam whack it Sam came along that is ) Labtastic i think if a defender is badly positioned or not quick enough when a striker is through on goal then the sliding tackle should not be able to save him.........the sliding tackle amongst other things is a way for slow defenders to get the better of quicker more skillful forwards and thats bad fo

There is a world of difference between someone trying to actually hurt someone and a good hard fast tackle....the trouble is, FIFA and most referees don't know what that difference is!!!

They have to talk about some shit to pay the wages mate, what worries me is that young kids watch this shite and IMHO the modern crop of young players (12 to 17) are weaker for worrying about it

Bosun a very touching reply mate. My old man was one of those blokes who knew things, from the age of 9 him and his younger brother would have to drive a horse and cart from south London to chelmsford and this was a 3 day round trip.....no roadside cafe in them days and they had to eat. He knew what mushrooms to pick and how to catch and prepare rabbits and what things to eat and not eat.....when I was a real little un we had a 6 acre small holding out in the middle of nowhere, always had a couple of JRTs kicking around for rats etc........my job at 5 was to find mouse and rat nests then let

Didn't know that pal, of course the answer is neither of them should be but it boils my piss hearing stalker / shooters harp on about animal welfare and how their killing is better than another lads killing
-
Are you having a serious crack at the buffoon of the year title this year?
-
If hunting with lurchers is banned on the grounds of animal welfare and you can be prosecuted then should stalkers/shooters who only wound quarry be liable to prosecution also? Just a thought?

Nice one matey and that's a nicE looking hound you have there

Are airgunners completly soft or what!?
WILF replied to tegater's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I reckon most lads started with an old air rifle or pistol........ -

He was a student they were staging a pro-democracy rally in the main square of beijjing it was part of the tiananmen square massacre, i think it was in the late 's 2000 demonstrator's died when they opened fire the fella in the picture was apprently tried and shot a few day's later Maybe the bloke in front of the tank was looking for a "Chink in the armour" ???..............

Having come from Italy, you would think Ballotelli would be a little thicker skinned about these things as he must have got that every week........ Theres a very easy way for a striker to get his own back on a crowd and wind them up more than they wind you up........maybe he should have paid more attention to doing that in the game

petplan, its expensive but they pay the vets direct. and yes they do seem to put price up for insurance claims, not right really but what can you do? Stay with petplan mate, especially with a running dog where you can get a lot of nasty leg breaks and bone injuries........i had a dog break its leg once and was able to just have her refferred to Noel Fitzpatrick with no questions asked and they paid direct too. Its the way forward........hope your dog has a speedy recovery. atb

Last I heard , he was a stair carpet . The bloke in the tank only had a £20 note and he went back to the car for "Chrange" and was never seen again....................

A late 1970s copy of a German magazine called " Lovebirds" featuring a black sort and a white sort bang at it.........I was never the same after that!

Plenty of top pros came from Senrab.... Ray Wilkins Sol Campbell John Terry Ledley King Defoe Curbishley Zamora......to name a few....................good luck to your pals boy, strike while the irons hot and all that. Maybe that's where I know the name shenrab from then mate as I don't remember playing against any players of that quality !! Lol lol My oldest brother who is in his 60s now had trials for Millwall and boxed for south London boys but decided owning boozers was more his cup of tea than kicking a ball round a muddy field.......must have been off his head!!! Lol lol

Couldnt agree more with that mate........this is why the theatricals in our game doesnt bother me too much....nobody likes it,but thats the price we pay for havingso many foreigners in our game.................the plus side in that though is we have the strongest football league in the world......over the last 10 years we have seen a quality of football in our premiership the likes of which we have never seen in England before.....if we have to put up with a bit of noncey rolling around and play acting then so be it..... Our game in England was always about strength power and getting stuck in

You must of played over Wanstead Flats Wilf.....think it used to be called the Echo league.......clubs like Senrab,Puma,Leyton all good clubs......used to go and watch a few pals over there used to be a great atmosphere must of been at least 50 pitches.........id get lumbered with carrying out the goalposts !! It was the echo league mate, I remember shenrab, I am sure I do........must have played against all those teams. Got to the semi final of the Essex cup with a team of oldies we put together, winning 3-1 with 10 minutes to go and the right midfield lad had a girls fit and went on

Talk about rough and tuff, when I used to play Saturday's in those east London leagues it could get a bit lively to say the least, some of the younger lads would get really intimidated......I have been threatened with stabbing, shooting you name it.....had teams of spades pissing in the kit bag and sparking a near f*****g riot, played in some right shitholes. Then had to do it all again on Sunday!! Lol........rugby is a lot better mannered than that I will grant you, to be honest the dirtiest rugby team I watched was the Met Police, it would kick right off every time with those as they were s
