I had my pal from Longtown staying at the weekend mate, and he said it was naughty with the police up your way after I went over to chat to some that had pulled in behind me.........he said that would never happen happen up there and they would f**k you off home at the very least

Rabbit are an odd grey area because they are classed as both I believe As for the police, I always make a point of going and saying hello to THEM if they happen to stop, the officers that run the farm watch scheme round my way I drove mad until they came round to see me. I explained what I do and where I go and said that I wanted to meet them because I didnt want any hassle and this way they know my car and know who I am....... they were happy with that, drunk their tea and f****d off. Never had a problem with them at all Personally, I would go into the local station, tell them you go -

The sooner the rediculous Euro and EU experiment ends, the better.......then we can all start to behave like a proper capitalist system and maybe earn a few quid. Was sat in Littlevixens kitchen on Sunday talking about how on fox drives, even the most proficient game shot can struggle with foxes on the ground and coming through the guns, a situation when as I am sure you will agree, a decent lurcher would have come in very handy indeed.......pre ban of course.

Oh I dont really agree with that, many of the younger keepers in the job are clever enough to realise what a handy tool a good lurcher can be.......do keep up with the times old boy Wilf There's nothing like gaining a bit of experience to show you the errors of your youth. No lad with a lurcher would get an interview let alone a job with any of the headkeepers and single handed keepers that I am acquainted with. For a number of reasons, that we are all very aware of. You should get around more then old bean

Well said DEV, and as for the earth "stinking of fox" most of the time, the dog knows best........Most of the lads on here can tell you of occasions before the ban, when you looked at earths and thought it just had to be holding but a good honest finder/marker has said no. Trust your dog until it proves otherwise

Have to admit it doesn't do lads many favours when i'm looking to take someone on. Sure there'll be plenty on here who will have something to say about that but maybe i'm old fashioned! You are ya grumpy git .....I seem to remember a young lurcher on a shoot day last year How is the banshee settling in?......is he still alive? lol

Talking of ugly dogs! lol......slow but sure for this young un, a few faults of my own making but so far so good in all other respects 16 months now and when he realises his own power he could make something. If he does a quarter as well as the dogs in the previous pictures, I will be a happy man.
