    Agree, theres something about all of them........used to ride a bird when I was 18, she lived with her mum who was a divorced 40 something and 20+ stone and I would on occasion if the daughter wasnt home (or getting ready up stairs) ride the mum too! The mum was a much better ride by far.........always like older birds when I was that age, they knew a few things

    Sensible post but some folk just have the type of mindset that when they have seen decent dogs run, they find it hard to accept anything less and imho, there is nothing wrong with that attitude.......I dont think jealousy or greed come into it, some people are just made that way.     Good post matey and totally correct re: folk who live in areas that hold lots of tackle. That said, there are lots of lads who make time and travel all over to regularly put their dog amongst plenty of stuff. IMHO, You just have to be realistic about your dog and what you can do with it. I want to keep good stuff but I am not blind and I know that lots of blokes could give the dog more work than I can and get more out of it.......BUT, even though I may not be able to give a dog as much as some I still dont want to feed shit.     Always fork out as much as you can afford on your kit, some of these cheaper boot and clothing are a real false economy. Better to pay £200 for boots and get 4 or 5 seasons out of them than pay £70 and get maybe 1 season......keep warm and dry and you will enjoy yourself a lot more
