I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here...the point your trying to make is not what I was suggesting. I don't know how it is in your part of the country but up here your council tax is calculated by the area in which you live. These Banded areas differ in the amount of Council tax they charge, say you lived in a caravan at one end of the street and your pal had a mansion at the other end you'd both be paying the same amount....capice! other than that I can't be arsed I'm going to my bed.....You quite good at avoiding the issues yourself Wilfy It was you that said that you thought

Your the one saying we should tax large companies and high earners, you ain't asking them are you?.....so why shouldn't you get told to give the people in your street your money if you earn more than them......you know, a bit of equality. Privatise the NHS, well bits have already been privatised and look what has happend, so much for standards improving. What about the folk who can't afford to go private?...maybe you would prefer a system like the USA where if you can't pay you don't get treatment. What is disgusting is that someone with a 20 room mansion can pay the same in council tax as someone is in a 2-3 bedroomed council flat. Or Multi millionaires who don't pay tax at all. If your all for equality why is some dickhead of a politician or banker allowed to earn more than a soldier, nurse or fireman for that matter?

Mate, I hate that Tony Blair with a passion but I have to say I respect the little f****r, for 13 years he played a blinder.
