My own theory is that if you have one dog, it will come on better on its own while young rather than in the company of other dogs......IMHO Best of luck matey

My tuppence worth would be, just enjoy traing the dog and mooching about then when it is gone a year see how it goes on the lamp if you fancy a bit of that. Bare in mind it won't be an expert from the get go so be patient matey. Enjoy

I saw some lads a few seasons ago slip 3 dogs onto a big dog fox, the critter took stood up to them and none of the dogs wanted to get in and have a go bar the occasional nip........now if foxes are what these lads are choosing to run then them dogs deserved a bullet. If a dog pulls up, then it needs investigating further before you make a sound decision........thats all I am saying.

I take a slightly different opinion on that mate, if the dog has a little bit of history doing that then I would agree with you but you cant tell from one run if that dog was in top condition or injured itself in the run or was carrying an old injury.....not excuses, but you need to think about it as you could do away with a perfectly good dog for the wrong reasons.

Owners should know a lot of things matey but they dont, its easier to put a label on the dog because they dont have the brains to think the events through. They also dont have the brains to know if they are being honest with themselves or making excuses for the dog........you cant make that decision in two minutes, it takes a bit of thinking about. There are so many veriables where dogs are concerned (hunting lurcher and terrier dogs that is)

Jacker is a bit to much of a "one size fits all" term for my liking IMHO, You have dogs that are: Top Class Good enough Not up to scratch And the only person that can make that distinction is the lad that has to work the animal as its only that person that knows what they expect.

Theres loads of very nice and decent dog lads who dont have a single square foot of permission, if you think this makes them in some way "less" than you then you are a fool! Permission is hard to get and it dont help when you read bollocks in rags like Shooting Times saying "free pest controllers are probably looking for things to steal"!!!! On some shooting estates you only have a small-ish window at the end of the season in which to run your dog, so what do you do for the other 5/6 months if that is your only permission? We all know there are plebs about, but that has nothing to do wit

We are having to massively rebalance the economy away from public sector to private sector and away from fake state borrowing wages to real world private wages. Thats gonna be hard for everyone. its a national disgrace mate, should never be allowed to happen, did you know they make 1/3 of all school chairs to name but one, i carnt see how putting all these people back on long term benifits is going to save on the money that is currently used to subsidise their employment Maybe it costs less to have them all on the jam role that it does to run the factorys and make the kit? or maybe if they hadnt spent so much on the olympics there would be a little left in the tin to keep these places going Sounds like your user name is perfect for you!
