All the land I shoot is left to me to decide what is taken. We also get many 6 point yearling heads so what can you leave they are all good. Never has any animal been left to do better next year. I do not work like that rather than shoot any beast in a given area. I also believe in taking a cross section of animals and did this before I went pro. A few more shots from last week. Big old boy.was a medal last year. 6 pointer yearling and another. 4 point in velvet Another old buck who was an 8 pointer So as you see old young and middleage

Animals in large arable areas range from month to month and are rarely seen in the same area year after year. Trophy fees sort out the plan, most cannot or wont pay for the big lads so he is saved only because of the price on his head. Right man

On a decent scope it would be.

I had a client here this week who shot a few bucks. I only captured a little on video. He asked I wouldn't show his progress so I will honour his decision.(which is why i've not been posting).(that and the long hours). But on the video I did take I had a very different camera angle from the shooter so captured some rare footage. This is the strike. These are the best stills seconds after the strike.

I have just signed a contract making me a Zeiss pro stalker. What this means is my clients can try and buy zeiss products from me after using them in the field. As clients they will get a sizeable discount (clients only), and they will be cheaper than then in the high street. Like I said though clients only so no pm's please. I am really proud a big name like Zeiss has backed a small company like me, though I did get in 354 accompanied stalks last year.

Yes rodger has shot loads with me(up to 4's) but cannot get a good 6. He gets fevered up and misses them. We will conquer eventually and then after that one he will be ok.

As you could see he was a good second before he even reacted. It was a clean miss and if you read the statement i made when i posted it on there i will pull the post if it goes to the dogs. There are as many keyboard warriors on there now as there are poachers on here. LOL.

I would suggest if you want to make a go of this and want to make good money than don't pull the trigger yourself at all. Become a guide and allow people to pay you for the privalidge. There is more to this than meets the eye, long hours etc etc BUT if you want to talk ring me i've been a full time guide now for 7 years and its going from strength to stregnth. P.s I still shoot a few myself but the money is in clients. regards john

i disagree , i suggest you register a buisness name and invoice him properly , you would pay a little tax- what ever you declare, you will be able to claim back your fuel etc, and even when you buy vehicles, claim for your mobile - everything which involves exspense with your job. be professional as you can as it will lead on from this job. the owner would like to tell everyone he has a pro stalker, this could be the start of agood thing. its easy to register your own buisness and the benefits will astound you. look into it and get some one to help you who is self employed. go for it , and g

Should have been on my holiday today (pig shooting in Bavaria, which went tits up),(then should have had paul down but the weather was so crap last night I put him off) so having a few days off to put high seats up and sort out some doe boxes. Any hows my body clock woke me up this morning so I thought I'd call in on the nursery I look after (alone Mal hads done his back chewing with a high seat on friday)(get well for the end of the week fella, we have some deer to cull in Norfolk). So I arrived and looked in MY usual field only slots and no deer, so over the road onto the ground Mal

A happy chappie (with breeze) after a doe made the tree line at beyond dusk. She made a great track down and I finnished her off (the deer not the dog). and the video footage. Due to a bussiness trip going tits up I am now free to stalk 16th-20th feb.
