  1. he will be back. if not on here then else where. like i said some seem to stalk me more then any deer. unlike me who actually gets out and shoots a few. this mornings. FREE ADVERT in case anyone hasn't realised for them selves. It was shot with an illegal calibre, @ 1,200m's, on ground i had no permission on without a backstop, just to save anyone making wild assumptions. only joking but you have to see the funny side its what stops me cracking up
  2. Never heard of them, I have shot all six both sexes over here as well as N.A. elk escapees (feral for a year). I could be wrong I have seen pier davids deer also but never shot them. where do you think they are in the U.K.
  3. Patience comes from professionalism. Through the course of my work i meet many great fellows/shooters also one or two dicks, thier money is all the same and it pays my bills. I have enough of a client base now I can be choosey, but sadly to share things with some of you on here have to put up with the occasional . I have actually asked the admin to monitor my posts now and have some assureance that distruptive posts will be sorted out. It does not only effect my thread(and how it runs) but stops sensible posts being made, (and ruins the whole forum). Some people I think get more from "stal
  4. Barry check todays weather in Dubai google says it was 41 this morning. You should have checked that before you posted even an idiot from Bradford could have done that W.V. it has gone yesterday to the taxidrmist and will go to the cic before mounting. If there is a descrepensy it will be made right when they come back here (from dubia)in september partridge shooting.
  5. Now thats the safest video i have seen of yours!!! Never asked you? i could have fallen out of the high seat. every one who stalks with clients/guests knows any accident or problem is most likely to come from high seat work which is why we have to annually do risk assessments
  6. Thats a great record .....keep it going it only takes one dead human ............ Keep it safe before the £££££££££££££££££££££££££s mate and you could go far. Barry it is a good record and i'm proud of it. It seems to be you who is hung up about the £££'s not me. This gold medal was shot yesterday morning by a prince from Dubai he and x2 other family members have been with me for 3 days. Put that in your calculator mate. By the way during their stay NO humans were harmed in any way LOL John I honestly hope you make £1000`s its the safety i have ev
  7. LOL stalker, but how did you boil the head before it was shot???
  8. great read again and a nice buck also. I hope you checked your backstop first mate, and if you sell the carcass put it on your tax form.

  10. Some areas near towns I avoid unless on my own. With clients its about a trouble free outing. (by tha I don't mean encounters with the public just avoid the areas where its likely). Our roe are pressured (by me) and don't hang around if anyone is around, so more public areas have to be shot when the deer are there but the public aren't. Dog walkers effect me on the does when I can't get out early enough. Just another word on backstops not aimed anywhere but 25 years 2,000 + foxes and as many deer + many many 10,000's of rabbits day and night with a rifle and not 1 complaint from the public
  11. On the buck video at no time could you see more then 75m's so how can you even hazard a guess a what our back stop was?????? Do you expect deer to stand in front of a soft earth bank for every shot?? It beggars belief. No if i could not see beyond 75m i would not shoot............. your right it does beggar belief....... be careful man!!! again you have missed the point, I said at no time could YOU (through the camera) cannot see more then 75m's Not me and the client. Look at the guys age he has been stalking forever, he would not be bullied into shooting unsafe. Betwee
  12. It was nothing aimed personally at you. There are many on all the forums and you tube find it hard not to try and blow holes in any film. Its easy. Things are not rehurst or re done. they are what they are from the prespecive of the given camera angle etc etc. All these films are DIFFERENT clients. Do you think even if I could bully some one into taking an unsafe shot once I could do it on every film. NO is he simple answer. Many clients have been stalking for 30 years shooing 1,000's of animals with a rifle. They would not entertain me making a suggestion to take an unsafe shot let alo

  15. exact oppersite actually the bullet willnot have risen into the sight line so will shoot about 11/2-2 inch low so hold over is applied. I dont think it was in this case but the neck was verticle so in the pre hunt briefing I had told him in the event of a close neck shot to imagine an "adams apple" and aim there.
  16. the first a fox seen on saturday morning. Whilst out on saturday morning on a wild english partridge shoot up on the yorkshire wolds we saw this fellow catching a few rays. *cool* There was no chance of closing the distance so the client was urged to have a go off the sticks (stood only chance to see over the thick hedge). We waited for well over 4 minutes for the fox to turn broadside, he didn't and the client was tiring holding his aim so the choice was made to shoot after a quick rest from the aim when the fox turned slightly to allow for the biggest target available. It was a
  17. In handloads a 150gr partition. Factory RWS 162 conepoints or any bonded bullet. the limited expansion rounds leave less then a golf ball exit as the are a little "hard" for small deer.
  18. Wow the federals are expensive! I take it you got the trophy bonded bear claws at a good price. Would home loads not work out cheaper? I hope so because that's the route lm taking. cheers Callum The bonded B.C. were the right money. I do use handloads, but its a time issue I only really H.L for the 22250 and that is for ultimate accuracy, not price.
  19. They are both home loads. The .223 isnt mine. I have a .222 mag, 22250,6.5x55 and 7mm. I tend to use factory these days. York guns had some federal premium loaded with nosler partition- they were £64.95 for 20. I got trophy bonded bear claw for £45.
  20. I smell another rat, only joined yesterday. Here we go again Even if it was (which it wasn't) if we had our backs to it or were firing along side of it WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM??????????
  21. I smell another rat, only joined yesterday. Here we go again
  22. Not for most of the time. E.yorks and holderness is flat other than on the wold land. the flats consist usually of sand or carr land which is soft and stoneless. We always shoot off sticks so allowing a downward travel of the bullet. The other thing the camera doesn't show due to the zoom is the scale of our arable fields. A small field here is 40-50 acre most are 60-90 and some 100+. If you look at the link photo of the video that hedge behind the deer is 275m's and the furter one is over 500 there is then 3 more fields of similar size before there is a rd. Thats well over a km. Even a r
