  1. It was closed down due to shite trouble makers John and financially it was no longer a viable proposition to continue. shame on the whole it had its merits.
  2. Stu, I stopped posting on the Deertalking forum a long while ago mainly because of Harry's attitude. I have recently tried to log on, what happened to it its no longer there is it?.
  3. I bought a wild boar head off ebay this year on behalf of a beach club which wanted something different for above the fireplace in the bar. paid £200 for it from poland, excellent bit of stuff and took about 6 days to arrive. Very good quality. Like optics unless you are lucky you get what you pay for with taxidermy. cheap are usually wearing a bad haircut or posed badly.
  4. My word he really has wound you up John ,The problem is because I know who he is as he was a shared Moderator with me on Deertalking when the forum was going everyone thinks that I am responsible for his actions , I have to agree he does have the ability to wind people up and at one stage he had more bans in place on forums than on a church notice board. But hes nothing to do with me and I am not responsible for his actions John neither am i responsible for anyone elses either. I have enough on my plate contending with the likes of Pinochio David without engaging the wrath of an Ex moderat
  5. Well all my "handles" are traceable to me. Easy. So everything I write I have to stand by. I think more should be named and shamed, then it would stop these shites publishing half of what they say. Most, nay, ALL would think twice if they thought their comments could come back and bite them in the arse. They have destrution of a forum on their mind and should be exposed asap to all, we could all ignore them sooner then and it would knock the wind from their sails. Stu. W.V. you should if you think enough of the site tell all you know in the open about this idiot, he may choose to go sil
  6. He should save us all, and not re-register.
  7. Always coming from a higher moral ground then anybody, yet never a photo, story or anything personal or constructive came from him. And he was a stalker alright, of me, on every forum I can spot him a mile off. New member, first post, one of my videos within hours of joining. Not as bright as he thought eh. Probably not his real life character at all, only when behind a keyboard. Now he's gone bet the other one pipes up again, another alias I fear.
  8. Good to see you back mark. And what did I miss with magdon (harry)
  9. As some will know I have cut back on the stalking now for 2 weeks to ready my shoot for the poults.(they start arriving tomorrow). Been riding around during the day and waiting for foxes in the mornings and evenings. Seeing many bucks now just walking about at any time of day, crossing wheat fields and showing the does some interest. There is something stirring i'm sure. Also suddenly there are more of last years bucks about, bucks which I have never seen. Due partly I think to the rape getting swathed. They will be flat out combining at the weekend/ next week, if the weather is warm. I
  10. I use the ppu in my 6.5x55 139 for winter does and 156grRN for summer bucks as it flys through light foliage. They both shoot to same zero @ 100m's and group under 1 inch in my sako finlight. I also use the 50gr sp in my 22250 and it shoots 1 inch @ 200m's. I no longer hand load for the 6.5 as it does all I want with the privvis.
  11.  Remember your camera, then we will know you have and its just not key board talk. Snuff you won't need one I will film your hunt. and hopefully kill.
  12. I haven't tried it either. But they are a big company in europe and its doubtfull they would load the ammo with poor heads. The deer in europe tend to be bigger then ours as well as boar and moose. They also tend to load the 6.5x55 to higher pressures then usa manufactureres so they should hit a little harder. As stu said above if they shoot well in your gun and perform on the deer get some more bought at that money. Most 6.5's are very forgiving and shoot most bullets well enough for stalking.
  13. Ha he jumped the gun by 1 minute there snuff. if your mate comes up as well I have a colleage who can take 1 out. (he's the safe one). but you will need to double the deposit.
  14. That would be fine snuff if I wanted the lessons. The £ $ 's will do fine thanks. Invoice for deposit sent this afternoon.
  15. John You really should take up playing the violin. :cray: Ah now that is where I could help. predicatble as ever. And that would be a first for me swapping violin lessons for stalking. LOL how would i declare that on my tax return?
  16. Snuff its a shame my posts end up going down the pan. As you can see there are many people who don't know me or have never had contact with me are getting sick of one or two indivduals trying pick fault all the time and on a repetative theme even though being proved time and again they are wrong. Like I need a H+S officer, and who are they to think they have the experience to tell me differently. They see only through my lens and were not there so how can they comment and be so sure of their facts? Who knows when I see you up here I maybe able to teach you all my bad habits eh? Shooting f
  17. squeakless boots and soft green fleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeece.
  18. yes, calling is usually done with mouth or hand calls. there is a feature written by a few guides (i'm one) in the next issue of sporting rifle magazine. its a roe special.
  19. you have p.m. Stu i'm sure will be your best bet I am fully booked up end of july and most of august sorry, its the roe rut and the foreign clients book it a year ahead. I have spaces later but if you are free when you say you are stu has the experience and land to do some calling for you. regards john
  20. Have you any grass landing strips nearby, I was considering flying up myself. Magdon has given me one website address in the south but it would be such an adventure to fly up and hunt. yes a couple, thanks for the pm we can maybe sort something out. is it helicopter or light plane??
  21. I sell the venison as above, local butchers pay me £1.10 a lb which is what I expect. I have not sold to a gamedealer now for about 7 years (since i got a chiller) and if markets flooded I skin myself and pay rent with it. I think most guides let their clients take the venison, sometimes its included in the price of the stalk. Make sure you ask before you book then there are no supprises. Joking aside Snuff, I have picked clients up from the airport and also get alot drive over on the ferry. But if you p.m. me I have good contacts down south and will put you onto trustworthy guides with pl
  22. A great session culling there mate and a nice read, cheers. Hope the warriors leave you be.
  23. The correct term is roe buck. And its a rather broad question. Have you permission and the correct legal calibre with deer stipulated on the conditions. Then what answers to which exact questions do you require?
  24. Sorry you feel that Mark as a professional you could add so much. I too am tireing quick and am already refusing to answer posts from certain members who add nothing and systematically trash threads at will. I will of course keep in touch on the other sites where these undesirables don't last 2 minutes. I will keep on here for a wee while longer just so they haven't won. Those who are interested can follow my threads else where and watch on you tube. But for now at least its a back seat for me, I have birds to rear, foxes to kill and deer to call over the next few weeks so can't be arsed
