  1. Just had a look on "Hunting chat" Is it some kind of THL for birds? All the moderators have the word lass in their titles - Lurcherlass, Longstone lass or even lady hunter. First impressions - a lot of duplicate posting from this site Before you know it, there will be a baking or soft furnishings section in there. Also, does the site founder realise that she has taken the same name as a more established forum with round 3000 members - huntingchat.net???
  2. Mick, use a bit of psychology on the farmers/landowners. Get yourself some cards printed - pest control angle. If you leave one with them , they are far more likely to remember you and call you back. Let them know your doing them a favour by doing it free. A mate of mine in Scotland tells them he'll do fence repairs etc on his way round - the fat cvnt probably breaks more fences than he mends That dog of yours is a handier size than mine, so I'm sure his time will come.
  3. Griffo, what lines is she from? Some dogs will fly to ground at 10 months (or before) and yet, some dogs are nowhere near ready at that age. The temptation is always there to get them going early, but the dog must be mature enough mentally and physically to cope with what goes on down there. Then one day, you might be lucky enough to get her 1st one in a drain or some easy place, and it will all hopefully click into place.
  4. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago since I came on here last year telling you all about my Beddy pup. A lot has happened since then, and he's proved himself a decent wee dog on the rats, rabbits squirrels etc. I've been trying to get a fox with him for a while now and this frosty morning it all came together. First earth I tried this morning (a one holer) dog in , keen to go, 20 foot in and only two feet down I broke through just behind him and a very nice vixen. Not a lot of baying going on, the young dog had the fox by the neck, the fox had the dog through the foot but was fading fast.

  8. Just saw the press conference in Vegas, Mayweather just rabbiting on and on, telling everyone how good he is, and how shit Ricky is. Then it struck me, the guy seems ultra confident but I reckon he is actually nervous. If Ricky can weather the first 4 rounds, I say he can stop this prick with constant pressure and body shots before round 10.
  9. Mike Hobday from LACS has only gone and put his mobile number on their site...........
  10. F**k You Giro I dont have to prove anything to you I go out with Blackdug , why not ask him you pr*ck I aint asking your friend what you do and dont do.... No need to get abusive because your talking ater shite your telling me even if it was a strong beddy whipp lets be generous and say 50lb now that a stonking beddy whip is pulling 12 stone plus deer?? Why do you think i am a prick?? You made a bold statement which i think ifts always good to back your storeys up.. I have seen four dogs making a meal of a fallow so dont think no beddy whippet is stopping one dead in its tra
  11. Nice one, always good to get the first one out of the way. Onwards and upwards.
  12. Wouldn't you be better with a Whippet cross? I don't know what the benefit of a pure Beddy cross would be..
  13. Jrt if you want one for digging maybe take a runt if you can.
  14. My brother had a cracker, mainly a ferreting dog , but the odd Hare , a couple of Roe deer and quite a lot of Foxes (a bit of a grim struggle on a big dog fox though.) Also was a handy dog at the end of a dig.

  21. The paint manufacturers are on to the fact that man are clueless in this field, and women make most of the descisions when it comes to decor, colour schemes et al. For instance, there is no such thing as beige any more, its caramel cream, butter biscuit, barley twist. - but beige all the same. My good lady recently paid around £50.00 for a few tins of Dulux "Morning Mist" for the kitchen. When we got it on the walls, turns out it was really a batch of utilititarian "battleship grey" Anyway Ditch, back to your pleas for help. Obviously, red and green should never be seen" I would go for a
